Bassey is a big hope for the future. Nobody can doubt his work rate or what he brings to team going forward. Still raw but the ingredients are there.

With composed centre halfs that are committed to the club we will be better off.

Goldson has been looking to escape to the midlands since last June.

Said on the match thread, him playing CH is a genius move. Not only is he externally fast and good at recovering when he’s let a man run off him or when covering Goldson , he is also naturally drawn to fill in the gap on the left when Barisic surges forward as we so tonight. We actually had both two left wing backs attacking them tonight. Great to see.

Got pelters for starting this thread but the big man is a fantastic team player. Strong as an ox, fast as fuck and pretty skilfully fora big lad.

Runs all day and all night too .Seems a right level headed young man too .

Not to piss on the Bassey party, but he’s really not good at CB. Wins absolutely nothing in the air and gets dragged all over the shop.

Pass for the pen was top level though.

We lost that goal last night because Goldson was dragged all over the place and lost his man again.

Bassey was outstanding again , in both positions.......

Lundstram was outstanding. Bassey was OK. Can’t be a CB and never win a header.

Whats Lundstram got to do with anything ? You were talking your usual shite about Bassey. Goldson was the one that put us under a bit of pressure by getting , dragged all over the place.

Was getting pelters during the game for being poor, maybe rightly so, but fuck me he never lets his head go down, the run for the winner after 234 mins of football in 3 days,

Many players might have left Kent to try take the man on, bassey no having any of that, superb assist

Kent is often doubled up on and struggles when the fullback doesn’t overlap and offer support.

Borna didn’t overlap at all and Kent made no impact, when Bassey plays he’s always up and down the line.

That's completely inaccurate.

True, he did overlap, and thought he had a good game, though he was chipping the ball in too much rather than whipping it in. I don't think if he's still on at LB he "daisy cuts" that cross like Bassey done for the winner.

His crossing was terrible today, mental as was outstanding vs St Mirren and Braga.
