I think tactically we looked solid defensively and it was clear some players were pushing their limits in terms of the gas tank.

I would say however that a few players really let their team mates down in terms of performances. Hopefully GVB learned from what he saw from them.

If we dont have a fit (or capable) striker fit then Aribo simply has to play there. We looked at our most productive and dangerous when he was there to collect the ball, make passes or draw free kicks.

I didnt think they looked anything special last night which is why i was so disappointed to concede so late on.

If I heard right they said during commentary that Leipzig won away in both their previous knockout games, so I'd say the odds are against us.

To bring it back to the op though, I'm proud of how far we've made it this year, even if this is the end of the line.

I agree realistically the odds are against us but just think how many games in Europe this year most of us have thought we were going to get rogered yet here we are.

If Roofe is available for the home leg and assuming no further injuries I think we have a bloody good chance of doing it, the team were immense last night playing in a way I hate but if Kent had managed to score his chance or if McGregor had managed to get a glove tip on that volley I would be assuming victory.

if we do go out now we have far exceeded expectations and although disappointing the lads have been fantastic.

I am still hoping for us to win the tournament beating West Ham in the final, celtic having to play a qualifying leg and getting pumped by a team from Gibraltar.

if Carlsberg did dreams.

Can only assume he means Wright and possibly Sakala.

Neither of them made the runs needed during that game. The laziness of Wright to not make a run when Tav won the ball and burst forward was ridiculous.

It’s more a case of neither being the required level for that stage of European football more than anything else but aye

They will no doubt underestimate us at home and expect us to defend again but they will regret that thought

Think they most definitely are underestimating us going by their actions at full time . They think they are already through

Moving Aribo out to accommodate Sakala was the only thing Gio got wrong.

We actually posed a threat with Aribo as a focal point but lost that with the switch although Sakala, as ever, worked hard.

They are no better than the last three we’ve beaten so I remain confident especially if Tav gets his usual early goal.

Absolutely need to get Roofe back though.

Agree, I thought they were poor. McGregor had nothing to do. I strongly fancy us to win on Sunday and Thursday.

If we were a little more accurate with our passing in the second half last night in the final third then I’ve no doubt we would have won.

Once we win on Sunday, they’ll panic.

This still has the makings of a special season,

That’s the overwhelming feeling for me this morning after last night.

Most would have taken being 1-0 down going to Ibrox next Thursday and we almost brought 0-0 home if it weren’t for a brilliant 25 yard volley at the end. I was impressed by our ability to defend for our lives last night, I didn’t think we had that in us this season.

I am convinced we won’t set up as defensive next week with the crowd behind us and will go for it.

3-1 Rangers next Thursday and on to the final

Totally agree with being proud of the players after last night. The tie for me is still very much open and that's all we asked for, just give us a chance to take them on at Ibrox. I think they'll be spooked if we start fast next week with the stadium bouncing. The fans have been a huge factor in us having a formidable home record. If we get the first goal I think we'll do it.

Gio in his last few games has started to win me around again in terms of his management.

His subs in the SC semi were mostly good, his set up last weekend after going a man down to go on and win the game was good and last night I thought defensively he set us up brilliantly. His only mistake was moving Aribo back out of a position in the second half that he was performing quite well in.

Definitely more optimistic about his management lately though

He can make excellent in game tactical adjustments that change the course of a game, but sometimes his sub decisions are baffling.

Aye some of his subs in the past have been mind boggling but recently they have been mostly decent. They won us the game against celtic at Hampden

Sands and Arfield subs caused us more disruption imo.
