Popular Post M-89 549
Have to say 2022. We’re so much better going forward. Kent against Broadfoot would’ve been a laugh Jamesy1872, Malkytfp1, its_an_extender and 3 others
Malkytfp1 19,569
Some battles there. Lundstram v Thomson in the middle. Tav attacking Papac. Amazing that even then we didn't have a naturally right sided attacking mid. Get it sorted fs 🤣 SwallowsHisOwnSpunk and NitshillBear
KBOO72 4,748
Walters team would win, maybe 1 nil. NitshillBear

But this team has that spark of creativity that 2008 lacked
The Godfather 75,512
With Morelos up top 2022 win no problem
Goianegra 4,710
Call it recency bias, but if you're going to do an overall best XI, there's definitely more players from Gio's team than the 08 squad.
esquire8 45,031
They both win. Rangers win. Cheers for coming. M-89 and NitshillBear
JimmyCR1 1,564
Would be 2022 battering 2008 for 90 mins then 2008 wins on penalties offminorthreat and NitshillBear

bluenoz 32,306
Far more talented players on this team and they play with more flair. Still, wouldn't mind Cuéllar. NitshillBear

Broxi 12,184
2008 team grinded out backs to the wall results. This team has absolutely played teams like Dortmund, Braga, Leipzig off the park, and you can include Porto, Benfica, Galatasaray etc in that mix for most of these players as well. Definitely this team. M-89

I’m not so sure tbh. McGregor, Cuellar, Ferguson, Davis all make a combined 11 easily from the 08 side Tav, Morelos, Kent make a combined 11 easily from the 2022 side Coin flip whether you have Goldson or Weir, Bassey or Papac, Thomson or Lundstram and Hemdani or Kamara. No where near a coin flip between Goldson and Weir to be honest for me. Goldson 100% of the time gets the nod. I’m not having a dig its just that i’m far too emotional and euphoric to even consider the comparison. mitre_mouldmaster

Brackley Bluenose 4,482
I was really annoyed with the last final, we got all that way and didn’t ever give it a go. That won’t happen this time. We’ve got goals in us Laudrupsleftfoot
Badger 9,067
In 2008 we won a semi with Broadfoot giving away foul throws...... 08 was a great achievement but it was ground out and most games were wars of attrition. This Rangers team have taken it head on, and are there on footballing merit, rather than footballing resolve. esquire8 and its_an_extender
