stevemac 5,000 Posted May 16, 2022 Share Posted May 16, 2022 on a free it was an absolute no brainer, whether or not he would've reached goldson levels of ability i guess we will never know, but given the options he had, his background and attributes you'd think he would've done well for us, but from an outside perspective even if we win the europa league and get champions league football, that still doesn't detract from the fact we play absolute shite bar about 10 games a season in the league. Bundesliga is one of the best leagues in the world and although there will be some amount of shite in the bottom half of their league, its more exposure to potentially move on to a Leipzig, Dortmund or even a premier league side. Can't really fault any player that has no affinity to us to sign for a bundesliga club, even if we are a far bigger club. We get linked with a player of a space of weeks, sometimes months, and people build and hype them and what their importance to us could be to ridiculous levels when most of the time they haven’t even seen them play that much either.
