Tarriers spend on transfer fees doesn't seem to get much attention, according to Transfermarkt website they have spent £42 million in the last three transfer windows. Plus brought in some free transfers and resigned some regulars. You need to add up our transfers since Gerrard came in to get close to the backing their manager has had since coming in. Our midfield three today cost £50k about the price of a decent new BMW.

If we want change at board level and I agree they are very poor at running our Club, then we will have to protest to make it happen.

We need to find someone to lead it who has nothing dto do with C1872.

Not sure who it could be but I am now fearful where we are going under this board  and very willing to stand up and be counted. 

CL football is great but winning the league is surely all fans priority every season, and already we are in a perilous position for 22/23, not saying it is done but it does make you wonder who can best the tarriers apart from ourselves and unless we show up the next 3 games that is no certainty.

We won 55 and seem to have gotten every major decision since wrong.

 

We all understand we have been operating at a loss and budgets had to be balanced but after 55 there was an opportunity to assert our dominance. We could have cashed in on some sellable assets and refreshed the squad, instead we let it stagnate.

 

Whilst the timing and speed of it were a shock, it shouldn’t have been a surprise that Gerrard might want to have left for the PL at some point.  Despite what the board want us to believe I don’t know anyone who doesn’t believe he was our only target. He was a popular appointment with the fan base, but a bit of research into his past jobs highlighted a playing style we are currently witnessing. It’s the boards job to make the right decision for the club, not the one that makes the fans happy.

 

Our transfer strategy has been negligent for years. RW has been an issue since Candieas left. He was deemed not good enough but we have wasted millions on projects and punts rather than properly prioritising a replacement.

 

Same could be said throughout our transfer strategy. The list of signings if full of risky gambles on players on redemption arcs in their careers rather than focussing on bringing in quality.

 

Lastly our marketing strategy is a full on blitz of ringing every last penny out of the fans without ensuring quality on returns. Commercial deals with companies who go out of business, OF friendlies in Australia, the fiasco of the first season with Castore, the treatment of the fans around the EL final (both the please behave messages and lack of anything for the fans at home).

 

Most of these things are forgiven if they are a one off and the team are winning, but when they become a recurring theme and we are being left behind by rivals we need to wake up and ask if we have the right people leading us…

We have spent £14 million and only £1.8 m of that was wisely.  The board isn't responsible for that.   Whoever appointed Robertson as MD is responsible.  Robertson is responsible for appointing Ross Wilson.  Wilson & Robertson are responsible for appointing GvB.   Wilson & GvB are responsible for player acquisition.

New deal for McGregor, back up at best McLaughlin promoted to number 1, Souttar signing, Davies signing, no money on the midfield, Kent and Alfie with 1 year left each, Wright and Sakala signings, Roofe's fit for about 4 games a season (had a horrendous injury record before he signed, same with Helander) and 1/10 of the money brought in spent on the squad to, well, not improve us in any way.

Who appointed Ross Wilson & GVB? 

The club is a rudderless incompetent mess and it starts at the very top and feeds its way throughout the club. 

I don’t even bother making the arguments anymore as I’ve been banging on about how bad things are for 4 years now, even when we were winning 55 and it is all coming to the inevitable conclusion now. 

Hopefully others start to wake up, rather than just knee jerk reaction after a bad result.

It’s a disgrace.  We should have built on the squad from the 55 season, we disnae.  We never learnt our lesson and didn’t build on it this summer.  Let’s be honest above aw the bravado and the fuck were rangers shite, we all expected to get beat the day.
