I know for sure that our play is far more dangerous than it was before simply because our players are closer together in the final third. If you dont see this, then we really have nothing to discuss as the difference between our Gio team to our Beale team is huge. Surely you cannot dispute this? Yeah gios team had a goals per game average of 2.26 against top flight domestic opponents (didnt use dundee etc in cups) beale has 2.25 goals per game You say our play is more dangerous yet Beales team has failed to score more than 3 goals in a match, gios team done it 4 times iirc Bar Hearts away last wed we havent improved performance wise one bit, county was a replica of a gio type performance where we huffed and puffed and were generally shite, a lot of time gio got away with it cause thd opposition were shite, last couple of times he came unstuck, beale has been getting away with it so far because again the opposition are shite, he's had some good luck (deflected equaliser in cup semi, deflected winner on sat, arfield scuffed winner away to sheep, if we have bad luck and not good luck they 3 times our recent results paint a very different picture) We have been honking all season, including beales tenure so far, only difference is a settled and first choice defence and getting results

The Specky Forum Organiser 69,617
I still love Gio and will remember him for Seville instead of the bad stuff so don't like talking negatively about him but he dropped as many points in his last game as Beale has so far. No improvement ffs. Davy Vandenbroucke and J-Maestro
OrangeRab 3,395
Think it’s a bit of both. We’ve definitely improved under Beale. The horseshoe was painful to watch. Equally it’s clear we don’t have the quality needed yet to regularly be breaking down these low blocks regardless of who is in charge. Some of that blame has to lie with Gio who presided over two windows but most of it lies with Wilson. Early signs are good in Raskin and Cantwell. But we still need 2-3 really quality additions in the Summer. Any manager is going to struggle to break down a 10 men low block when 2 out of your 3 front men can’t control a football and half your midfield can’t turn, run or pass forward. We need a great goalie, an athletic mountain of a defender and a fantastic striker. Regarding the latter, I don’t think Colak is ever going to be the answer, at least with the way we currently play. Some people might have a different opinion but then again I was never a huge fan of Kris Boyd. The filth struck gold with Kyogo who gives them excellent movement and pretty good finishing. If we can get someone who does for us what he does for them we’ll be in a good place. In all honesty i’d actually want a level above him but our transfer dealing have been hit and miss so I’ll take what we can get on that front. The dealings this window do give me a bit of hope though. We do seem to keep the same targets over multiple windows though, so not sure what that means in terms of strikers.
