SoccerAM to be cancelled at the end of the season

Between 97-02 was the glory years, the attitude and personality wasn't unique for the time but it fit in perfectly with the whole Brit Pop scene in the 90s and managed to carry that on for a few years after the Millennium.

I've no idea the last time I watched it, must be about 15 years, after Lovejoy left it just felt completely different, guess who it appealed to in it's pomp all just got old, Tim Lovejoy is probably the proof in that pudding, a loud cocky and cheeky guy to a now reserved host of a Sunday morning show aimed at housewives.

it’s not been good for a wee while now and I had actually stopped watching it recently but it would still be missed as an option, if it wasn’t on imho. Fenners just put up a post to say it isn’t definitely getting axed, they’ll be in talks.

I've been watching it again for the last couple of years and it definitely needs to be adjusted if they are able to push forward with it.

The football based bits are the most enjoyable parts of the show now, the "comedy" elements just fall flat and are a bit cringy. The two sisters they've added with their drills are quite good, but i find myself fast forwarding through much of it.

when they got that guy Lloyd in I thought he was an absolute tadger, took a lot of getting used to. Scripted jokes are really cheesy aswell. Their guests and live music had took a dive but think it must have become a lot harder and expensive to keep getting the big names.

Even when it’s been completely forgettable every episode has still had something in it worth watching, which is a testament to everyone working there really

Jimmy Bullard was born for that show

He's quite good fun is Jimmy. Show would be completely flat without him on it.

Fenners just isn't a great host.
