KeyserSoze 15,227
Decent bit of business with Aris Limassol - 1 yr loan then mandatory £4.3m sale. Absolute donkey going for plenty 😂

We are paying part of his wages for a season. Even if we paid 100 percent we would still make about 3 million! We signed him for 1.5m Sterling. An actual profit? The major drawback is that the profit is deferred when we need cash for the rebuild. Still great business. SeparateEntityMyArse 55,268
Reports are we're paying his wages there for a season. Absurd if true. Like with the concept of letting Hagi leave for nothing after a decent euros, mental if true. Neither being accurate would surprise me.

I'd be surprised if we agreed to pay all his wages for a year, even from the people who brought us blockbuster hits such as "No steel" and "honey I shrunk the funds". Teams sometimes agree to pay a percentage of the wage over a contract I believe so it maybe equates to the equivalent of a years salary over the 4 year deal. Even at that, he's on about 16k PW which is less than £900k for the year. Still making profit and getting a player off the books who we'd otherwise struggle to sell. Malkytfp1 19,582
It's no all quite sunshine and lollipops. From rangers review. The Sport Time website provided further clarity on Saturday morning. They say that the purchase clause in Cifuentes’ Aris contract will be an ‘option’ rather than an ‘obligation’, meaning the former MLS ace will have to live up to expectations if he is to become a permanent member of the roster. Broxi 12,195
Option for 2.4m is nowhere near as good as obligation for 5m but would probably have taken the former at the beginning anyway. Although it will be no surprise if the option isn’t taken up at the end of the loan
