Albahighlander 0
Today he was on a hiding to nothing.some of our moronic support were on his back from the first whistle but he conducted himself with great dignity, great effort, and good composure under real pressure. As Mister Le Guen says he is not as talented as Barry but today he behaved in a way more appropriate to a rangers captain than ferguson has done in the last 24 hours. J_RFC87 762
Good post Well done Gavin Rae and lets hope he continues with his 100% league success as Captain this year
BlueIsTheColour 35
But Gavin Rae is simply not good enough to wear the Rangers jersey never mind the Captains armband. I have nothing against the guy and feel sorry for him that he is caught in all this but lets face it. He isn't fit to lace Fergie's boots no matter what Barry has done. If he has done anything wrong at all.
Muff 245
he conducted himself with great dignity, great effort, and good composure under real pressure. The sad thing is that he is nowhere near good enough to be playing 1st team football at Rangers.
Davey_RFC 122
Agreed! We can't hold anything against Rae, he's done what he's been told to do!It wasn't him who dropped Barry. He didn't make himself captain.Although I don't rate him highly, he did his job well. mark_ni 12
i have nothing but respect for gavin rae after fighting back from 2 years of injury hell to even kick a ball again. Sad fact is he just isnt good enough to play for rangers and certainly not good enough to be captain.
Albahighlander 0
Although he did lead the team to a victory at one of the toughest away fixtures of the year. If the barry / PLG thing had not come up yesterday then who would have bet on rangers taking 3 points today.Maybe as PLG says it is noty always about the best individuals, but more about the team. Rae was quiet and not what i would expect from a Captain. Dado is.

Thermopylae 15,288
I haven't seen the game but it can't have been easy for him today to step into the crossfire, so well done (lw) .
papaguy51 941
I thought he played quite well today actually.Got back and tackled a lot, and made some intellegent runs forward. He's not as good in the air as Ferguson though, but that was probably Rae's best performance for a long while today. He was still average at best.Did Barry Ferguson steal your marbles at school or something? You just wont let up on him will you?
cooper1989 0
I'll give Gavin - and every GERS player 100% of my support.I feel for him. He's out of his league and knows it. But I salute his courage to even take the armband in such difficult circumstances. Well done Gavin.
