They'll get thumped again if they get back in, so I couldn't honestly give a shite

I'm not so sure. One tie away from another CL windfall... they could scrape it. Fuck knows they've had enough luck to date. I'd rather they get pumped out now to remove all hope of them filling their pockets again.

When the Sion thing happened they fielded players they weren't allowed to in both games and each match was given to Celtic at 3-0.

What happens in the case of this one, they get through on away goals cause the first leg was 4-1?

Tims will probably be awarded a 3-0 win for this game, making them go through on away goals.

What a clusterfuck, cunt only came on for the last 3 minutes too, why the fuck didn't these plums have him registered in the first round to serve his suspension ?

if the stupid cunts weren't sure if he was registered or not then they shouldn't have risked it especially with the score lin and if it was only the last three minutes. They have only themselves to blame but fingers crossed the player is ok.

UEFA fines Debrecen for using ineligible player

NYON, Switzerland (AP) — UEFA has fined Debrecen <emdash />15,000 ($19,200) for fielding an ineligible player in the Europa League, but rejected a protest by opponent Litex Lovech to kick the Hungarians out of the competition.

UEFA says its disciplinary panel agreed that Peter Mate should not have played last Thursday in the second leg of the playoffs. But UEFA says Debrecen used Mate in good faith as a substitute in Bulgaria when it led 4-1 on aggregate.

UEFA says Debrecen had "no interest in fielding this player for the three last minutes of additional time, when the score was so clearly in its favor."

Litex can appeal the ruling before Debrecen opens group play on Sept. 16 at home against Ukrainian club Metalist Kharkiv.

Let's hope that's the precedent that gets set.

If true, who brought this to public light? Rangers, Sion, & Legia all overcome by off-field issues - would appear they play a far better game off the park than on.

If Legia are bounced out on this technicality, you can bet the dark side's friends in the press will be quick to promote this as sporting integrity, Celtic rightfully restored to tournament, etc. Pitiful and embarrassing.
