Legia shouldn't have fielded an illegible player, pure and simple. A bit shite but that's the rules.

Some will be embarrassed by it but if it happened to us then I doubt we'd be complaining much.

the scum are every bit as much to blame they complained when the guy made no difference to the score.

Where's their sporting integrity now

What was wrong with the scum saying we were beat so we're not going to make a complaint

Don't understand teams that do this.

Surely every team gets issued with a list of players that are registered and if you're not on that list , the nearest you get to the park is wearing a shirt and tie.

Yes but they don't have a leg to stand on, the appeal will be batted into touch in a heartbeat

They've requested for the details of the full decision before they appeal, If they find that quinn and wilson were on the panel would this not be a conflict of interest?

If it was an admin error that saw them field a banned player, who's was it? surely with a big game like that you dot all the I's and cross all the T's

Is there concrete evidence that a Celtic official complained or is it just internet talk?

Even so what difference does it make who complained? Legia made a mistake and shouldn't of played him. It's a bullshit rule and punishment but rules are rules.

absolute bollocks they have essentially been given a bye despite being severely pumped. They get free entry to another pot of CL money by not exiting asthey should.

There should have a been a rematch of the second game with the score from the first game remaining in place.

Should it make a difference? No

Does it make a difference in the rules? Yes

Are the rules a pile of utter nonsense? Yes

How did it make a difference? It didn't. It was 6 - 1 at the time with 3 mins to go. There was no intent to gain any advantage and no real advantage was gained.

This is a simple matter of an admin error or oversight, very similar to Debrecen.

'However, it has emerged that Bereszynski was not registered in Legia's squad for the ties against the Dublin side and therefore the matches did not count towards his suspension.'

A simple matter of failing to register him so that the suspension didn't kick in. If he had been registered it would not have been suspended v sellic. That's a clear, honest ovrsight. A fine would suffice, but not a £15 Million pound one.

Would be karma at its finest if it was Maribor of all teams to send them out for good. If they sell Lurch and Van Dijk there is still some chance. May be wrong but didn't Maribor put up a decent fight against Spurs or someone last year ?

Even if Maribor beat them in this round the beggars drop into the Europa league group stages.

Sporting integrity and all that !
