Reports in the peninsula suggest that Roberto Mancini was involved in a bitter row with Inter fans at Liverpool Airport last night.

The Italian champions were left cursing their luck after Marco Materazzi’s harsh dismissal and two late Liverpool goals left their Champions League adventure hanging by a thread.

According to Tuttosport, tensions spilled over at Liverpool Airport when some of Inter’s angry travelling support exchanged insults with Coach Roberto Mancini.

Reports suggest that security staff were prepared to intervene as they feared a physical confrontation, but Mancio opted to walk away after a war of words.

no way, if he was applying the rules why was torres not sent off for blatent diving?

first foul materazzi didnt even touch him, torres tried to run round him and caught HIS leg off the back of materazzi's hardley intentional foul and the second one, ha he did pull his shirt for a fraction of a second then torres took 3 or 4 steps then crumbled to the ground as if he was shot

the first one was a stupid foul to give away, perhaps a bit harsh to be booked but can see why he was booked. he turned round to see where torres was to try and block his path instead of going for the ball which he was a huge favorite to get.

the second was again a stupid foul with a booking that was also a bit harsh. from the refs angle though it looks like materatzi(sp?) trips torres up as the ref is inline with both players
