The UEFA Cup Final Hotel Help Thread!

Oldham - very close to the city, just one bus ride, hell its 8 miles walking only an hour and half (great with hundreds of bears singing!) will also be much much cheaper. 15-20 quid in taxi. (City of manchester stadium is on the same road.)

Stockport - Quite close, lots of buses that go through Stockport, thgeres even a rangers supporters club apparently, though ive never been. 20 quid in a taxi.

Bolton - not to far, there are quite a few buses that goto manchester directly but it would be 30 quid in a taxi.

Bury - Less than 5 miles to manchester from bury, multiple buses go directly to the manchester, 10-15 quid in a taxi.

Rochdale - I wouldn't recommend Rochdale as its a bit far, would cost you 30-40 in a taxi and no direct bus route either.

Hope this helps, if anyone needs any help, i'll happily answer

How about Altrincham? Would it be OK to stay in?

definitely my man, there's a tram that goes straight into Manchester center, 20-30 mins costs less than a fiver and runs till around 12pm, not sure about a taxi fair though.

look at Southport as well loads of cheap B&B's and larger hotels and a premier inn's etc

direct train from there to Manchester (30mins or so) and walk to ground.

Bolton is 20 mins on the train and the digs will be cheap as f*ck. town centre is a good one too, loads of pubs to try in the afternoon before we set off for manc, i'll meet you all there ;)

or surrounding areas.

I just phoned up a few hotels and although on the internet they are saying

full up, no rooms and what have you.

Jutst call a few of them. I got a en suite room for £106 over the two nights for two people. Even though on the net it said it was fully booked.

Don't despair. Keep phoning and the politer you sound, the better.
