There's no two ways about it, we need a compete and utter upheaval of the mess at Ibrox from the top to the bottom. Every season seems to hit or miss, every signing seems to hit or miss, even the pies at half time are hit or miss.

The day, imo, this all changed for the worse was when a sneaky camera 'caught' Donald Findlay singing the Billy Boys in 1999. Rangers did not hesitate to make an example of him by saying this is not acceptable because the tims in the media were offended by it. Typical of them, millions of people beleive in it and sing it, and they almost drive a single man to suicide over it.

Since that day, Rangers have been full of handwringers. Knowing people that work in Ibrox and having been in the corridors of Ibrox many times, I know if you mention anything to do with our Protestant, Loyalist and sometimes even the Unionist past you're quickly quietened. The club are terrified of their own fans because we sing songs that our fathers and grandfathers sung.

We have no-one to defend us, as that QC has already been made an example off. We accept our fines from UEFA, media slating left, right and center and bend over at every opportunity.

The days of Jock Wallace, Graeme Roberts etc are well gone; guys that would bleed and die for the club. We're full of guys who have no idea what it actually means to play for Rangers FC. They don't understand our past, where we are now, and what we expect from them. We're full of Christian Daillys and Steven Whittakers, over paid and expensive flops. Typical signings of the 2000 era.

to continue my rant into other areas, none less so than finance. RFC try to milk us for every penny we have; the food is over priced and shite, £20-£40 for games of football, you need to pay for loads of extra footage on the site etc. And what we get for our money is Lee McCulloch. Too long have we just accepted that Walter ignores us at every opportunity, is so stubborn not to change things when it's wrong. the scouting system is an embarrassment. The treatment of fans at Kaunas airport was an embarrassment. Steven Whittaker earns more in two weeks than some of those fans do in 52 weeks.

There's no solution but for SDM to sell up and get out asap. We need a new structure in the whole club.

Not to mention those pies. It's almost rat meat.

Well said JA, the Donald Findlay thing has been well written about on here by many of us, Bain too interested in topping his tan, Murray just fuck off and Smith go back to the SFA Museum with your antiquated style of football.

The financial side is a joke, the prices charged are a disgrace.

Donald Findlay is the finest legal mind in Scotland, outstanding at what he does, very clever and a bluenose. He should have been defended instead of hung out to dry by Murray.

There's actually a horrible irony in the Protestant/Unionist part you mentioned since Murray's own company has certain people in high positions, all of whom are Church of Scotland and most of whom (I believe) are Unionist. But when it comes to Rangers he's terrified of the "P" word. Bain is a lost cause - he couldn't even bring himself to acknowledge an Act of Union flag display so the mere thought of acknowledging other parts of Rangers' history is beyond him.

The other ironic part is that Murray won't stand for or tolerate any bad press against him (or Bain, for that matter) but doesn't give a damn what is said about Rangers or the support.

You have got it in one JA, the day that man was stabbed in the back and sent packing was the day the soul was stripped from the Club, I'll never forgive Murray for that ever ! :sherlock:

Donald Findlay was the last director who would and could defend the club. When he was on board and the wee guy with the bunnet was across the city the sfa didn't dare to cross the old firm. With Findlay gone and McCleland as head honcho we lost our power in the spl and had to give away too much tv revenue. Now in the spl the tail wags the dog and we accept any shit the sfa throws at us.

it would be great to get donald finlay to shed some light on some of the legal issues with uefa and the spl regarding the singing of certain songs and if uefa or the spl had a legal leg to stand on with regards to sanctions on the club

Spot on mate. Great post. Some people on this forum believe we are all being negative and its just a knee jerk reaction to the other night but we have been on a downward spiral for years. Too many fans now accept 2nd best now.

The CLUB accepts second best now. Many supporters ambitions have been downsized but that's only because Murray and Bain are accepting second best.

I know the club does Paintbox but too many fans still believe everything that Murray, Bain and Smith tell them.

I think that number is slowly diminishing now though.

Cracking post Jadams.
