Rangers attempt to keep fans in the dark

The much vaunted meeting today between The Rangers Football Club, represented by Sir David Murray, Martin Bain and Walter Smith, and the Rangers Supporters Assembly was started with Rangers astonishingly asking the RSA delegates to keep the meeting confidential.

To their utmost credit the Rangers Supporters Assembly refused this shameful offer.

Quite why Rangers FC wish to hide their plans, or lack of them, from the fanbase is beyond the understanding of this Rangers fan. Not only is it bad business to keep the fans angry and confused, it’s bad for Walter Smith and the team.

We need to see leadership and responsibility from the club. What we don’t need is to be told that if we only follow the yellow brick road we will reach the wizard who will miraculously solve all our problems. Let’s not forget he was all smoke and mirrors.

This surely is the final change to our Chairman’s attitude to Rangers and the support. He used to be a man of action; then a man of ideas but no action; now he doesn’t even bother with either.

There isn’t even an attempt to give us a lovely new moonbeam to cherish.
