tommy2212 151
the fly bastards! when they sold kenny miller the where rubbing their hands all the way to the bank - and now we are stuck with him Exclusive: Rangers hitman Kenny Miller could land Celtic £300K bonus if old club Derby go up Aug 8 2008 By Keith Jackson KENNY MILLER is set to earn Celtic another £300,000 - after missing the sitter that handed them an extra £2.5million in Champions League riches. Record Sport can reveal the Parkhead club had a clause inserted into Miller's transfer to Derby last summer that means they could continue to cash in on him even though he's crossed the Old Firm divide to play for Rangers for a second time. Miller has spent the past three days attempting to get over the horror show in Lithuania that saw him blow a golden chance to help his new club past Kaunas and in to the final round of qualifiers for UEFA's premier tournament. Rangers' failure to make it past the Baltic minnows not only cost the crisis-hit Glasgow club a s10m ticket into Europe's big league but also guaranteed SPL champions Celtic another huge pay-out in TV revenue. But Miller - who made the Parkhead club a profit of £2.2m when he left for the Premiership last summer after only one season back in Scotland - will keep on boosting his former club's coffers IF Derby can bounce straight back into England's top flight this season. As part of the player's complex transfer to Pride Park, Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell demanded his club be weighed in with add-ons depending on Miller's success. Despite Derby's relegation to the Championship - and Miller's subsequent £2m move to Ibrox - one of those clauses will be activated next May if Paul Jewwell leads the East Midlands club straight back up into the Premiership. That lightning return to the top flight would see Celtic bank a further £300,000 at the end of the season and bring the total cost of his transfer fee up to £2.5million. Miller is desperate to win over the Rangers fans who have objected to his return and is in line for a third competitve start at Falkirk tomorrow. http://www.<No links to this website>/sport/footbal...86908-20688771/
Ibroxblue 122
That deal is nothing to do with us. It's totally between Derby and Celtic. If it's true, Derby have been careless in dealing with the contract.
