bluenose_72 198
Roma are flying high but Juventus are only the 95th best team in the world, claims the International Federation of Football History and Statistics. The IFFHS uses a variety of statistics gathered from all official matches to produce its annual rankings. However, while the studies are based on logical calculations, they can produce some questionable results. European champions Manchester United are top of the pile, but amazingly Scottish giants Rangers, who crashed out of the Champions League preliminaries to Lithuanian side Kaunas, are in second place. Chelsea are third, while Bayern Munich and Barcelona are fourth and fifth respectively. Roma are flying the flag for Italy in sixth spot ahead of Scudetto winners Inter in 10th, possibly due to their superior European campaign. Fiorentina are in 12th and Milan manage 15th in spite of a miserable season, but Juventus are not amongst the elite. In fact, the Old Lady are languishing down in 95th and will need to impress in this term’s Champions League to rejoin the giants. IFFHS’ Top 10 sides: 1. Manchester United 2. Rangers 3. Chelsea 4. Bayern Munich 5. Barcelona 6. Roma 7. Liverpool 8. Arsenal 9. Boca Juniors 10. Inter Got this from an Italian football site, but couldn't help but notice our high ranking
