Danny 9
What is happening at Ibrox now is just beyond words, so I'm not gonna bother trying. But we have had dark dark days before, such as under PLG. But is this worse? I know I feel pretty low. But I remember scraping the barrel under him too. What do you lot think? Stuart_RFC 41
Nah..when i think back to the calamity of Svensson and J-Rod at the back with Jeremy Clement in midfield and Sebo up front it still makes me cringe.
disgruntled_bear 157
I'm Shocked Barry Ferguson, hasn't said anything about the way the clubs heading under Walter!
scotgc 0
Nah the PLG days were worse in my oppinion, he was a complete plonker !
Tommy WATP 86
Clement was a good midfielder But he didnt have the balls when Le Guen left and wanted to follow him
rangersross 4,687
I don't think this is anywhere near as bad, we were in a Uefa cup final a few months ago and in the SPL we've played one, won one.
J_RFC87 651
I still think the PLG days were worse, we had such a poor team and no money

Looking at some posts, mine included, you'd think the entire squad had just killed themselves.
pcbear 10,891
We have been shite for 5 seasons.
TMWWBK 0
Walking out of Ibrox after the St Johnstone debacle knowing that the PLG experiment had failed was one of, if not my worst experience as a Rangers fan. Just so much hope took away in the space of 3 months. This is certainly up there though. May just seems like a million miles away.

WVB 2,560
No. PLG was a bead, and he couldn't even pronounce "Rangers", never mind manage us.
Skol 401
No. PLG was a bead, and he couldn't even pronounce "Rangers", never mind manage us. Haha so true. One difference for me is that there was hope under PLG. At the moment there is just despair. I'm probably over-optimistic but I still have faith we can win the title - but only if we make some signings in the next few days/weeks. The time for talk is over. We need to spend and spend well. Stardog 7
Worse because he's spent 5x as much money.
biotechnology 2
THIS IS WORSE. a common thing seen on forums when PLG was coming was "viva la revolution" We need one now to take back our club.REVOLT-the only way for to make change happen

Boab 73
Answering the question, it is getting that way. Least the defence is ok.
Tam3r0wn 12
I dont think enough bad stuff has happened yet to compare this situation to the PLG era. A couple of poor results could see it be worse. All I know is I am far from optimistic about our chances for the season ahead.
papaguy51 912
This is worse. Walter had PLG's whole transfer budget available to buy one player in Kyle Lafferty. You pay peanuts, you get monkeys! At least PLG wasn't scared of young players. Walter's bleeshed £20m on that pile of shite we're forced to watch every weekend.
whytes3 254
In a word -yes. This is much worse thanLe Guen. Not only are we out of Europe before most of the big guns have ocmpleted their pre-season trainng, but we are also playing the worst football I have ever seen us play and we are now being fed more lies form the club than we have ever been subjected to
cooper1989 0
Nope.. Carlos wanted out -- so he's gone. PLG was ruining our club in a way I could not stand...

Ruining, or trying something different? Personally, I think he saw these problems coming and tried to sort them out.
