the goal machine 7,791 Posted January 30, 2007 Share Posted January 30, 2007 Rangers are poised to seal a ?2 million deal for Hibernian midfielder Kevin Thomson.The 22 year-old is understood to have undergone a medical with the club and will sign before the transfer window closes on Wednesday night.Celtic had been heavily linked with the Thomson and his Hibs team-mate Scott Brown but it looks like Rangers have won the chase for the highly-rated star.It has also been reported that Brown has agreed to follow Thomson in the summer but no official announcement has been made yet.Hibs boss John Collins told the club's website: "I am happy that our valuation for the player has been matched for the player.
