Prso faces D-Day over retirement

Dado Prso is hopeful of extending his stay at Ibrox

Rangers striker Dado Prso will find out on Tuesday whether his knee injury will force him to retire.

The 32-year-old retired from international football in the summer but has since hinted that he could extend his stay at Ibrox.

But Prso's agent, Ranko Stojic, said: "We will let the doctor decide whether Dado is okay to play on and then we will discuss next season.

"But the specialist's decision is crucial for Dado."

New Rangers manager Walter Smith has welcomed the possibility of Prso playing on.

"Obviously, we hope it will be good news and he wil be able to carry on for one or even two more years," added Stojic.

I would like him for another season but i just feel that he is doing himself more harm by playing on. If the specialist tells him it is best not to then it could be a blessing in disguise for him with regards to later in life. If i was Walter though i would be doing everything in my power to get him as a coach. He is just the kind of guyb that can inspire like Ally.
