Muff Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Far too many errors and he doesn't look interested. Now he's getting wound up.
McBoyd Posted February 12, 2009 Author Posted February 12, 2009 Far too many errors and he doesn't look interested. Now he's getting wound up. Looks like he's going to slam the racket on the floor, but stops before doing it!
McBoyd Posted February 12, 2009 Author Posted February 12, 2009 Edit: 3 - 3 all now, Murrays pulling it back midway through the 2nd set!
Muff Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I'm not a Murray fan but I hate how people get on at him for his swearing, his attitude and actions at times - I wonder if these people have ever played the sport at any level. It also annoys me when they refer to Rafa and Federer and how they never get annoyed (which is rubbish - Federer used to have a terrible attitude and still does when it's not going his way. Rafa deals with it in a different way) yet it was ok for Roddick, Djokovic, Safin, Bagdhatis, Sampras, Agassi, Ivanisevic, Connors, McEnroe....to shout, swear and throw their rackets. It's always the stuck up British who have a go because he's not like Tim Henman - the nicey, nice attitude got Henman nowhere and I'd hate Murray to be like that. I shout, swear, punch, kick and throw my racket/balls when I'm playing tennis - it used to get me in trouble but I wouldn't change for anyone and I couldn't give a fuck what anyone says or thinks. People deal with it in a different way, no-way is right or wrong.

I guess its because tennis is a 'gentlemanly' sport like cricket

I guess its because tennis is a 'gentlemanly' sport like cricket Some still see tennis as a 'gentleman's' sport but these days, that's a load of bollocks - look at the players on both sides and it's anything but that. At my LTC, you get the impression that we should stop at the end of each set and have tea and fucking crumpets - fuck that shit.
Poetry_In_Blue Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Great rant, but what's the score now?
McBoyd Posted February 12, 2009 Author Posted February 12, 2009 Great rant, but what's the score now? 5-5 15-15.
disgruntled_bear Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Murray wins 7-6, 7-5 Wasn't his best performance, hopefully he can raise his game in the next round.
Poetry_In_Blue Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Cheers, bloody computer is going so slow at the moment.

Nah its not a gentlemans sport anymore, cricket is the only one that could potentially be. To the bold bit.
