rfc_no1fan
I dont think Fleck will play tomorrow. I think Walter is playing mind games with Celtic and trying to get them to name a team that will focus on nullifying Fleck. I also feel that we will apply a very cautious approach tomorrow, so starting Fleck would be a waste. We dont want him tucked in or going back the way providing cover for the duration of the game I may be wrong, but I think Fleck will be on the bench, Laffery will be left and Miller will be up top on his own. (If this happens Lafferty will have the height advantage against whoever is marking him). Fleck will only come on when the game is stretched and we need a more attacking play on the park. I posted this yesterday and I was proved to be right. Although Fleck did start, he was wasted . He was forced to come back and help out Papac and spent most of the first half 30 yards away from his own goal. If Walter was planning to play like that, why on earth did he start Fleck?! Surely a more disciplined player would have been better. Lafferty won almost everything in the air against Celtic's defensive duo, If Walter had started him left he would have dominated Flood and/or Hinkel all day long and actually had someone (Miller) to flick the ball on to. Once we brought on Miller and moved Lafferty out wide we looked like more of a threat. Why not start that way? Then bring Fleck on later in the game when its stretched and there is space. 4-1-4-1 was the correct formation, however yet again Walter started with the wrong personal and was lucky that the game was still there when the 2nd half started. 0-0 aint a bad result though, but it could have been a lot better. Thermopylae
Once again septic were absolutely garbage ... god only knows why Walter feels the need for caution against this mob
docspiderman
I thought the approach was too negative and cost us two points. Celtic have extremely poor full backs and immobile central defenders and I am convinced that had we set up the team for an attacking game rather than play, for most part a spoiling game, we could be top of the table. Spot on another two points thrown away a la Aberdeen through an overcautious manager and poor team selection.
