BoltonLoyal
If Walter manages to win it then credit where credit is due, but if he doesn't then i'm afraid there is only one option for him. Martinez would be awesome, i don't think that bloke has a negative tactic in his head! Would love to see a Rangers team passing their way through games like Martinez' team does. Briton
This is the SPL. You can't judge like that. Win or lose Walter Smith should retire and the club move on to a different management team.

barrymorrison1
yes, he should stay, only if rangers win the league though. i firmly buy into the notion that a manager needs time to put his plan into operation. i believe if he gets the league, he should get the third full season, and then we should take it from there. so far, although there is a fair amount of criticism on his formation and use of players, he has taken rangers to the final of the uefa cup, a feat others have failed miserably(although i agree kaunas was, and still is a debacle). he has brought in guys like cueller, whom he made money on, brought out the best in alan hutton, who was looking a liability under le guen, davis, and mendes, 2 excellent midfielders, and also kevin thompson, a real pospect for captaincy if he gets back fit and healthy. he has also brought in younger more mobile players in lafferty, naismith, and john fleck, and possibly aarron, if he gives him the chance. in golas he has two reliable keepers, and in bougherra a guy who can defend and play bit, so i suppose if he wins this flag, i would like to see "phase 3" of his plan, and to see where he can take the gers. yes he has boobed in aspects of his job, but who doesnt. i do believe in loyalty, and i will stay by him on this issue, but i can understand why people would like change. the botom line is he must win this flag, or i am afriad he will be left without a chair when the music stops. simplythebest
Nope, i think his time has come regardless, only difference is he'll go out on a high if he wins the title. It would need him to resign himself though, Murray isn't going to push him sadly.
