simplythebest 11,453
Can't we just keep to to the generic Boyd thread PB? But i'm in total agreement. Was Miller hurt or something, as i was sure he'd have come on for Boyd?
Tommy WATP 86
Worst performance i have ever seen from him Boyd without goals is a man down
polar bear 0
I don't think I've seen a footballer with a worse touch than Kris Boyd. It is appauling. Aye! but he scores big goals when we really need them. what a joke this guy is.
ben dirs 10
We played with 10 men today with him on the park.
polar bear 0
We played with 10 men today with him on the park. Unless he scores, this will always be the case.
bluenose4life 5
9 men - you might have forgotten we had daily on there too...... end of the day, boyd was an empty shirt. Miller warmed up and went sat back down on the bench again. Pointless. You could see from about 20 minutes in to the game that boyd was never going to score in a brothel today let alone on the park, so why he wasnt taken off is beyond me. ShootSpeedKillLight 0
I wasn't surprised about his performance today. Just before the match I was speaking to a mate who was saying Lafferty and Miller would start up front (which would have won us the game IMO), and I told him Boyd would play 90 minutes and be shite. At the time I was only half serious, but look what fucking happened. He should have been dropped a long time ago but it's not going to happen. The only compliment I have to give to the guy is that he wasn't quite as bad as he was against ICT. And that's not a fucking compliment.
disgruntled_bear 157
Instead of starting a new thread on Boyd. How much do you think he'll be worth in the summer?

Muff 245
I don't think anyone will touch him in the summer - the only manager with an interest in him was Big Eck. Managers would probably rather go for the likes of Fryatt, Beckford, Mackail-Smith, McLean, Lambert, MacDonald (Brentford)....

I remember there was a lot of hype surrounding Fryatt when he first broke through at Walsall. He's been incredible for Leicseter this season.

That would just sum us up, a player we let go in 2004 turning out a better option to buy than our "so called" main striker

chris_glasgow 2
if they can get 1M for Beattie then we should be getting at least 2-3 million for Boyd
disgruntled_bear 157
Aaron McLean - Peterborough. 16 league goals this season. Boyd IMO would be a cheaper option than McLean. Have to say Darren Ferguson has been doing a great job at Peterborough, Obviously Sir Alex management genes have been passed on.

BlueSuedeSambas 53,548
Steven McLean has scored a massive 2 goals this season for Plymouth. Is he not their fourth choice striker behind Mpenza, Gallagher and Barnes though?

papaguy51 912
Aaron McLean would be a 30 goal a season man up here, but he'd also get the assists. I'd have used all the Boyd money to buy him
polar bear 0
All you guys who really believe this, are 100% wrong.Truth is our club has no chance of winning anything(worthwhile) with him anywhere near the team.
