  1. Im sooo happy to say that the game on Tuesday is being broadcast Live in Canada coast to coast on the full network on TSN. Those going to the game raise the roof on Ibrox and lets show everyone all over the world what it's like at Fortress Ibrox... come on lads... I can't even concentrate at work am so excited... I think I feel the flu coming on for tomorrow so I can go home early from work to catch the game.

Wonder if my old man knows about this.

    I must phone him.

  2. Main Stand Front, although I will be in GF4 tonight

    You on the Copland side?

Between the Copland 18 yard line and half way.

Must be a cracking view, I'm 10 seats from the wall and it's no bad

Oh do you mean the Govan Front?

I'm in GF4, right on the half way line two rows from the back.

Probably the best view you could hope for in that part of the stadium but still not good enough for me so I transferred back to my old seat in the Main Stand, I still have to sit in the GF for the CL games though as that's where I sat when the CL money came out for the package.

  3. He doesn't concern me at all in fact I'm glad he's playing he was anonymous in those games and is responsible for breaking up the vast percentage of Barcelona attacks, far more than any opposition defender could dream of.

There are far more serious opponents that the Show Pony for us to be concerned about.

But the last thing we want to do is completely rule him out as a threat. He is one of the best around and if you even get a tad complacent about defending against him then he will punish you.

I daresay he will join ever-increasing community living in Hutton's back pocket though. :craphead:

He's an opposition player, we can't rule any opponent out completely.

My point is in my opinion he's not the greatest danger to us.

He's great with a ball at his feet but so is Mr Woo, in fact he may be even better.

  4. For once, Frankie, i disagree with what the RST have said. The jist of this press releaase is to make fun of Boruc instead of examining his claims about the Rangers players. I personally believe that Boruc should just be completely ignored rather than slagged off by the RST. We all know how much of a scumbag he is but to come out in this way and draw yet more attention to him is only going to increase both his and Celtic's victim status.

No, it's not. While the statement make ridicule to guy (why shouldn't we?), it's a direct challenge to the player, our club and the authorities to clarify the situation.

How long are we to keep ignoring lies about our players, our fans and our club?

I am not advocating ignoring lies about the club. Indeed we should address the lies completely. I just get the impression that debunking Boruc's allegation is not the purpose of this press release but rather to take the preverbial.

Disagree, he should be forced to substantiate his allegations.

This is what the release is all about.

  5. I'd have preferred 'Unhinged moron' to 'Moronic ned', but that apart I'll be interested in the club's take on the statement.

Did you know that technically speaking a moron is somebody with an IQ of 50-69?

Dunno if Borat will make that.

I didn't know that Bro Manticore, being in the 180 bracket myself I perhaps should have done :harhar:

  6. I remember running down the road from Islington to Euston Station, through torrential rain, to get the train up to Glasgow for a game.

I met her indoors and a couple of mates and a slab of tinnys.

Woke up the next morn in Cumbernauld to a beautiful sunny Autumn morn.

Couldn't believe SE England had been hit by a hurricane.

    But what game was it?

    A League Cup Final maybe?

The one where Gough scored the winner?

I've not googled it. Give me your memories.

    :rangers:

    Am I missing something here?

The League Cup final of 87 was the 3-3 game with the Sheep which we won on penalties.

    5-3 on the penalties. Right?

Peter Nicholas was the only one from either side to miss, and he rattled the bar after a tbluenosederous roar on his run up from the Bears as we had won the toss to have them taken at the Rangers end.

    Durrant scored the winning penalty.

  8. ffs what is going on people, this is the chance of a lifetime i am well up for this it is a fantastic prize no matter who you go with, and btw blueben is a good guy. if you dont want to be in it no need to post :)

The replies were made before anyone knew about who was accompanying whom mate.

Some people might just have saw it as a nice wee intimate outing with their partners before they knew the details.

look at the replies after they knew

    Okay, you win.

What am I looking for in particular?

  9. S Brown is a professional footballer who I am sure did NOT feign injury playing for Scotland. He is not the type IMO.

    Correct.

He is far too stupid to even think of that.

Too much credit given to him here methinks, in fact far too much credit given to him by all in the Scottish media.

  10. I won this prize thanks to help from people here on RM, so I thought it would be a nice touch to have someone from the site accompany me, whilst also raising some funds for the site.

The choice of games was limited as it had to be a saturday game at home so it was never going to be one of the bigger games as they are generally on Sunday these days. This date suited best as I will be long recovered by then.

I will be receiving a presentation on the pitch at half time. I could not have won the competition without RM help so this is the best way to pay back all those who helped by making this win beneficial to the site as a whole.

If you don't want my company then don't enter, I'm sure there are plenty of people who would love to go in your place :)

    :rangers:

Well done mate, great news and a lovely gesture by yourself.

  12. Does it include accommodation?

The RM staff could be a prob but I don't suppose it'd be difficult to lose them, folk say they're a bit on the dim side.

    Rotten choice of game btw.

There are 3 match options that were given and that was the best one.

Blueben_d is the person offering up the position to go with him. He is just finishing up his cancer treatment so if you want to let him know he is dim, maybe wait a couple of more weeks.

You should have made that known mate before anyone replied.

That aside all the very best to Blueben_d in his battle against the despicable disease, hope the treatment is a success.

    Seriously.

  14. I think he's been great in the Euro games, including Lyon.

When he's asked to play as an auxilliary, secondary striker that's when the problem occurs for him, and us.

Against Hibs, Thomson and Hemdani were supposed to get the ball to him from behind, but neither seemed capable of playing a forward pass.

Boyd was supposed to hold it up from the front till he arrived, again he proved incapable of the task.

Result was Barry running about covering all sorts of ground between the midfield and Boyd and sometimes even getting ahead of Boyd looking for but not receiving the ball.

After an hour of this he got frustrated and started to drop deep and try to make things happen himself.

He's much better in the supporting role when Darcheville is the front man, but in essence he is a central midfielder and should be on the ball as often as possible as he is our most intelligent player with ball at feet, not running about expending energy hoping to get the ball, but not getting it.

In my opinion the only problem with Barry Ferguson is, there's only one of him.

  15. can you mind years ago this so called reporter stated,as a scottish club rangers are a permanent embarrassment and occasional disgrace and this country would be a better place if rangers did not exist. he was another low life who hated us and that was many years ago, which shows we have always been under attack but now its nearly every week.

A clapped out, pish stained rambling boozebag.

I hope the flames are still burning your rotting carcass Archer.
