Brilliant footballer, I don’t think he got the love he deserved from our supporters or Smith while he was here

I beg to differ. Everyone I recall at the time recognised how pivotal he was to us, esp in Europe. He wasn’t flashy but by god he was composed

More likely to be Thursday's Glasgow Cup Final - No 17's involved last night.

on another note I did say Dundee fielded a young side.

"Despite the score line there are still positives for the Dees to take from this match. Kosta Gadzhalov and Henrik Ojamaa both got some much-needed game time on their returns from injury, and in midfield, 14-year-old Finlay Robertson put in an excellent performance, while his fellow 14-year-olds Josh Mulligan and Lyall Cameron also coped well with a physically powerful Rangers side."

14 yo playing under 20s? Wow they highly rated? Also, who is closest to a call up to our first team?

What's a 'decent' budget? What kind of numbers are we talking? The wage bill was increased by 60% over the summer and Warburton spent more on players than any manager in Scotland except Rodgers. Warburton has been quoted on a couple of occasions that we're not going to have an army of scouts are our disposal. We'll rely on 'best in the business' Frank McParland and his network of contacts.

Clarity on what exactly? We have a contract with Puma for another year after this season. 32Red expires at the end of the year. The club's unlikely to come and and say whether we are re-negotiating or not. I don't think many clubs come and give out such information tbh.

Clarity on what? The boy's got an injury and has resumed training. Warburton thinks he'll be fit before the end of the season.

I appreciate you maybe happy to accept small regurgitated sound bites from our manager

however, we need guidance from the board.

overinvestment was promised- it hasn't been delivered to a level reasonable enough to challenge, does the board intend to increase spending or stay stagnant next season?

the board confirmed the scouting network as a priority. It appears non existent bar one man and his book- is that the boards intention or are we working on creating a 1st scouting network with numerous scouts?

there was significant media speculation re:puma kits, issues with selling them, potential new kit supplier- address this, if only to tell us that puma is contracted and that's that.

my overriding point is the fans demand clarity and the board promised it. At present, they have been silent most of season and their soundbites have not either been met or need readjustment given current playing squad

So you want the board to update the public on who our transfer targets may be?

Share issue update - they are limited in what they can do until shareholders vote in favour of 'resolution 11'

Investment update - Again, the club is limited in getting external investment without 'res 11' passing.

Rossiter update - he's got a nerve issue in his calf and is expected to be fully fit before the end of the season

Billy Gilmour update - the club want to keep him and Warburton is very aware of him. He can't play for the first team until he turns 16 in June.

Sponsorship for next season - it's likely been (or being negotiated) and the club is never going to come out and speak about it until a deals done and ready to be announced. We've also still got a contract with 32Red so likely wouldnt go public until that deal is in it's final few weeks.

    No.

transfers- I want to understand the club is actually going to provide a decent budget, how building of scouting network is going etc

    sponsorship- clarity on 32red, puma?

investment- what's plan in light of no res 32

Rossiter- nerve comments not from MW, if fact he said the injury is private, so perhaps some clarity?

    Gilmour- how is negotiations going?

An update is what I'm talking about not the same platitudes that have been rolled out for 6 months

    Em, no.

The are two sides of the same coin and driven by the same self serving agenda. Individually and collectively they are the problem and C1872 are certainly not the solution.

We are firmly on the outside of a self serving agenda and I hope one day soon they all feel the wrath of the support at large, for being lied to, cheated, disrespected and taken for granted.

Does it need to be c1872? Or could it simply be the fans group put some questions to the board I q & a format?

  6. Whatever happened to transparency? Could the fans group not set up a sit down with Gilligan or one of the board to get some answers? They seem so reluctant to bother engaging the fans so can't we put it to them? I understand they can't talk about SD, but surely some understanding of pre-contracts, types of players we are looking at,  share issue, investment update, sponsorship for next season, rossiter update, current loans and potential for extensions, billy gilmour update etc etc

It's scary how little we know about the current going ons of our club despite this board spouting transparency and investment as two key reasons for being voted in

We deserve to know where we are headed and if we should expect to be also rans for years to come

5-10 million used wisely would have us challenging them

again the important part of that point is it being used wisely

    This.

We forget this is largely the same Celtic team who dropped points left right and centre last season.

They have recruited with relatively minimal outlay, and if we can get some decent frees and spend 4-5mill on a few key players, and lock down the likes of McKay, burt and gilmour, then we can really compete.

  8. It's clear for all to see, without significant investment in this squad, we run the risk of continuing to fight for second best.

We have backed this club through thick and thin and deserve a club who is Scotlands no.1 not perennial runners up.

this got me thinking about our title winning squad of 10/11- how does it compare to now?

Firstly, we had a shagger in goals, who is better than Fod, but I don't think this is a position we are lacking in, particularly with gilks as backup.

Then we had a back 4 of sasa/weir/boogie/whitts

In terms of what Wallace/hodson/tav bring, I don't think there is much difference between whitts and sasa, as all were inconsistent at times either in defence or attack

The massive difference here is centrally- clearly weir and boogie were head and shoulders above hill and keirnan, and for me, we need 2 quality defenders in next 6 months, with hill/keirnan/Wilson as depth

Midfield is also scary when you consider we had weiss/Davis/edu/jig.

McKay/windass/rossiter have the potential makings of a good midfield, but I think we are a creative and box to box type away from a title winning midfield. Again, the likes of Halliday and holt would have been nothing more than depth signings in the 10/11 team

Finally, and the most glaring was our front line, with Jelavic, naisy and lafferty all playing their part.

Our current strikers come no where near these 3, and the likes of garner, Miller and waggy again would have been depth signings, albeit better quality than the likes of velicka and Healy.

again, it appears we are for me, 2 quality front men away from a title winning force.

Scary to think that despite signing 11, we are still 6 1st teamers away from a title challenge imo

I've said it on here for years now.

Billy Gilmour will be our next big thing..

Wouldn't surprise me if he makes top team when he's 16 or 17.

Certainly looks a talent, loves to run with the ball, great touch. Hope to see one or two break through over next 12 months
