  1. Respect is a two way street.

I don't see the Scotland lovers giving the ones that hate the national team the same respect.

People can support whoever they want. I reserve the right to be disinterested in the Scottish national team because of the Tartan Army, the SFA and the T*rrier players.

People seem to think the Scotland national football team has a monopoly on all things patriotic and Scottish. They don't.

I don't think it's appropriate for people write about their hate of the Scottish national team on a Rangers forum.

That's like me saying I support Chelsea, going on to a Chelsea forum and saying I hate England. Just not respectful.

  2. Listen, I know this is a Rangers forum but I think it is only right that people respect the fact that a lot of people on here support their country, Scotland. I'm not saying you have to love them, but just respect that a lot of people on this forum do.

I'm not going to be ashamed to support my own country.

  3. Attractive football? Yes

That is what the thread is about.

Not really, attractive football with results is what the thread is about. Yes he's done well with Blackpool, but Rangers are a different animal.

Huistra sounds pretty good from what djw's saying. Don't really know much about him myself.

And for the last time! This is not about drawing with Celtic. It's about years of poor tactics and poorer football.

  4. Super Ally deserves his chance case fucking closed...

Personally, I don't think he deserves his chance. He's never managed a club before, let alone one the size of Rangers and from what I've seen when he's 'managed' games on his own, I've not been impressed. I am also worried that he will have adopted too many of Smiths 'teachings' and I'm sorry but I just don't want Rangers to play football that way anymore.

Second, do you really think that Ally is going to get a fair chance at Rangers? If Ally McCoist does take the job and does not hit the ground running, everyone will be at his throat! There are plenty of supporters who are already against him taking the job.

IF...McCoist starts at a small club, proves himself as a manager and proves he is not Walter Smith Jr, THEN it would be an option for him to become our manager.

  5. I don't know what anyone thinks about Di Matteo?

I liked the football he had West Brom playing, however I seen he's lost 13 games from 18 which isn't the best.

If we appointed him at the end of the season I would be delighted. Not saying that it will definitely go well but why shouldn't we try to play attractive football. We deserve it!

  6. You dont think Celtic have moles and friends in the big bad world of news? doh!

They have been running the press in Scotland for years, its no surprise they have broadened their horizons with propaganda reaching further afield than the Daily Rebel and the Evening Tims.

    Google News

You are desperate for us to accept him as a top player, being scouted by Englands biggest club, WHY?

    Hes average.

    Man U

I'm not saying he's good enough for Man U, I'm just saying he's better than your giving him credit for.

Celtic taking over the world's media! Haha mate you are ridiculous, I thought they were the paranoid ones!

  7. No they shouldn't.

They have done way too much for this club to be tossed out after a draw.

Lets just hope its a lesson to be learned and they dont do it again.

    Sir Walter. :praise:

Maybe your still pissed of because I felt like this yesterday but I have calmed down now.

I'm not saying now, I'm saying next season we must start a fresh.

Rangers Football Club needs some excitement next season or attendances (money) will suffer.

Anyone remember the thread "Who actually enjoys watching Rangers"; its not good for the club having terrible performance after performance even if we do scrape 3 points most weeks.

  8. Man U watching him

He is no better than Papac.

850k is a lot for us, just now. A few million, how many? 1, 2? He wont be going anywhere, Celtic aree the biggest club he will ever play for. Stop listening to the Scottish mhedia.

    ;)

Do me a favour and go onto Google News and type in Izaguirre. Not just the 'mhedia'.

  9. It's not the results that we all are getting annoyed about, its the negative mentality that is now ever-present in the team.

It's causing lower attendances (non Old Firm), which will in turn reduce our income and will put us even more in the financial shitter.

Getting a new management team in is the financially prudent decision.

  10. Hart is just a baby in goalkeeping terms and he's already world class, imo. By the time he's 28-30 he'll be an unbelievable goalkeeper.

His performance at White Hart Lane at the start of the season was incredible.

Agreed! Theres so many people on this forum who know nothing about football beyond Rangers!

  11. We didnt get him because he is not better than what we have, he was not worth persuing. ;)

I will make no insinuations about your loyalties my friend, as far as i am concerned, you are one of us. (tu)

Papac, Wallace, Dixon, even Whittaker at left back, then possibly Izaguirre. Average at best.

    (tu)

Man Utd have been watching Izaguirre.

He is at least as good as Papac the rest of that list.

He cost 850k, for a player that will be sold for at least a few million.

Wasn't worth pursuing, your having a laugh!

  12. Does anyone think that the reason Walter Smith said Boyd is leaving is to get a reaction from the fans?

If enough Rangers fans show their outrage and anger it perhaps might shock Boyd into staying.

I mean, surely if he is a Rangers fan he would not want to leave being thought of as a judas?

Or am i reading to much into it :craphead:

aye mate, away and make a facebook group (tu)

    :pipe:

why would Boyd be thought of as a Judas?

    See this:

Oh and where in my post does it state my opinion of Boyd?

  14. Its not an ideal situation but the alternative is limping along with a crippling debt and business plan imposed by the bank. We've just let a 35 goal a season striker go, for nowt, because we cant afford to give him a new deal. Our manager is working without a contract. It looks like we will be drastically cutting costs even further this summer. This cannot continue in the long term. I just think we'd be a far more attractive proposition to any buyer if we were free of debt and this tax case hanging over our heads.

Please stop talking, your lack of knowledge is embarrassing.
