Beattie, i like the guy and hope he gets his first goal soon but i think his career has been over before he came to rangers, i hate to admit it because ive been a suporter of his for years and hope he can prove us all wrong!!

great news for the club, for many reasons but what sticks in my mind is that davis has said he prefairs Mcolloch to thomson beside him to fight his batles and he sure does that well. IF DAVIS IS PROTECTED THEN WE PLAY BETTER FOOTBAL, FACT!!

Confident he will score his share of goals but just wish he was 3 or 4 years younger so he had sell on value.
Think of this.
we let kevin thomson go for 2 mil, a player who was decent but nothing we cant cover.
we let wilson go for 2 mil a player again we can cover.
boyd gone for nothing but beattie will score 20-25 goals so boyd replaced yea!
all in good business, it all evens out in end.

I think he'll do great up here. When watching MOTD i saw him come off the bench and score goals for stoke so he is a goalscorer.

Given that the jelavic deal might or might not go ahead i am quite excited about James Beattie wearing the red white and blue.
given that he maybe 32 means nothing to me but experiance im sure walter can get the best out of him, no dought in my mind that if he gets the love of the game back which im sure he will when he joins us and sees how pasionate we are im sure he will score for fun and feel 22 again.

It might be looking like the big austria viena player Jelavic might be too pricy for us but i have no worries even though he looks to have a good scoring record.
this south african Mphela looks to me to have some strengh and pace with a very nice touch in and around the box, not to mension he can score goals as provan against France and Spain in world cup.
