“It's important for the BBC's audience that a clear distinction is made between the former Rangers company and the new company owned by Charles Green's consortium - and the football entity formerly known as "Rangers FC".

It's not a company Mclean is commentating on, it's a football team. The football entity formerly known as Rangers Fc is still known as Rangers FC. If the Business Editor is on Newsnight talking about our balance sheet then maybe the audience needs to know the distinction...........but it's a football match Mclean is commentating on so it's just him being a bit of a cock.

Got it in one! McLean and most of the other Sports journalists have deliberately misused the terms, we know the agenda! Had the BBC response been credible it would have supported its position as being consistent in making the "clear distinction" as it did when referring to Pacific Shelf 595 in the past - which, of course, it didn't. In a sporting context it is simple, we are Rangers - we were then, we are now and we will be Rangers forever.

Most of the Sports journalists, and the BBC, are sporting hypocrites.

  2. good statement, likely to be ignored though because the SPL are corrupt.

    [t/quote]

This (tu) Its a good statement and good investigative work to reveal the links with the dark forces at Celtic. Added to earlier allegations that Reid, through his son's employers (Nolan Partners), had a connection with the appointment of Regan and Doncaster; starts to reveal the work they have been doing over the last couple of years. The strategy to dismantle our club, piece by piece and sanction by sanction is well underway. Make no mistake that strategy has been well constructed and has been successful so far, they will push on. Also, believe that they will have planned for the scenario where their conspiracy is revealed, and the response will be many and varied - starting with denials, faux horror, disgust, more denials, name-calling and deflection.

The statement is good but be aware the fight back will be tough, the road ahead will be rocky and there is no guarantee of success, their strategy is in full play and we need to tackle it head on. Rangers United, needs to be our approach as never before.

In significant points in history, of our country and our club, great people emerge - Moses McNeil, Mr Struth, Willie Waddell, Jock Wallace, Walter Smith and others. Often they are thrust forward in adversity and display a candour, dignity and most obviously integrity that most others cannot match. They are giants amongst pygmies. Step up Ally McCoist, a giant among the small men and small-minded of the SPL and SFA. You are a legend in our time, in the years ahead Rangers fans will talk about, reminisce and retell the story of our troubles and our rise back to greatness and most of all they will talk of the emergence of a true Rangers legend, already established on the field of play, they will talk of Ally McCoist - Super Ally - "Super" doesn't quite do him justice!

    Arise Sir Ally :praise:

  4. CHIEF Executive Charles Green has insisted he will fight for all of Rangers titles if they are threatened by an SPL probe.

Part of the SFA membership agreement allows the SPL the continue its investigation into alleged contractual issues.

Green said: "Like all of the other issues we will deal with this full on. This is something that Sevco has put itself in the firing line for when it is clearly an oldco issue.

"However, this has still to be played out. HMRC has still to reach a decision or announce their decision.

"I understand the SPL has put a panel together to look at this issue and we will contest it every inch of the way.

"The view of the club, the fans and indeed newcomers like myself is that those titles and those games were won fairly and belong to this club. We will fight it to the finish."

Green also insists that those out there who cannot bring themselves to call the club Rangers should realise the error of their ways.

He said: "I think everyone knows that it's Rangers that are playing at Ibrox whether its owned by company A or company B.

"Our main rivals - or our former main rivals - across the city they have had three different companies in their lifespan.

"In fact if you look at their corporate structure now it's more complicated than Rangers' is.

"So it's not about an individual or a corporate company with a registration number. This is Rangers and will always be Rangers."

Well said that man  we will fight to the end - No Surrender :uk:

  6. What TLB wants TLB gets.

So when has liewell/rhegan decided the season will begin?

As soon as they get back from their tour of Japan :pipe:

Wouldn't it be great if the SPL could help its team's to compete in Europe by moving fixtures around? Hmmm, maybe not, it's about "sporting integrity" after all

  7. http://www.telegraph...email-leak.html

An e-mail he sent on June 23 to colleagues – including Scottish Premier League chief executive Neil Doncaster, his Scottish Football League counterpart David Longmuir, SFL President Jim Ballantyne, SFA vice-president Alan McRae, Hibernian chief executive Rod Petrie and SPL chairman Ralph Topping – outlined his plans.

The item which has caused most anger was his instruction to Petrie – a man who claimed on May 14 that sporting integrity was “beyond purchase” - to brief newco Rangers owner Charles Green “confidentially” on the various issues so that there could be “no surprises.”

Regan also said in the email that Dundee will replace Rangers in theScottish Premier League next season, even though the SPL clubs are not due to choose between them and rival candidates Dunfermline until their annual general meeting tomorrow.

He also makes it clear that for newco Rangers to be granted membership of the SFA – which they need in order to compete in the SFL - Green must accept the transfer embargo handed down by the SFA’s judicial panel in April, even though it was ruled unlawful by Lord Glennie at the Court of Session in May.

On top of that, Regan stressed that the club will still be responsible for any other fines and sanctions imposed as a result of the wrongdoing of previous regimes, such as the improper registration of players.

These issues are still on the agenda. Rangers membership of the SFA has still to be approved, and it will be subject to us agreeing any and all future sanctions - without recourse to legal challenge.

While we have already accepted the points deduction, fines and relegation and the football debt will largely be paid using last season's SPL earnings, it goes beyond natural justice (integrity?) to expect anyone to agree any future penalties derived from any misdemeanors perpetrated by others not connected with The Rangers Football Club. Particularly where those who will determine those sanctions cannot be trusted to act in a fair and objective manner! The Court of Session has already found the SFA guilty of acting illegally in their attempts to impose a transfer embargo, yet that issue is still on the agenda and, to make matters worse, they are asking us to accept future punishments without challenge, legal or otherwise.

The architects of this scheme are now being exposed, the SFL has not been taken in by bullying tactics of the SFA and SPL. Their "master plan" to cripple our club and at the same time continue to cash in on our massive drawing power has been exposed. Those leading this conspiracy, Regan and Doncaster, must be removed from their positions and the SFL Chairmen have tabled a no-confidence motion in that respect, the SFL needs to follow through with that motion. However, let's not forget those other members of the SFA and SPL Boards who also acted in support of their CEOs, they too must be brought to book as it is clear that the shameful ways in which they have acted have been driven by a hatred for Rangers, an opportunity to damage/destroy our club while wrapping their own self-interests in a cloak of "sporting integrity" and all of that has been exposed by the events of recent weeks.

  8. A number of points in this one, from the SFA's point of view, they can probably see no point in keeping us in, if it isn't going to save the top leagues anyway.

In terms of 'fairness' there is no way that they could grant a licence for division 1, but refuse it for division 3. the fact that they have saved their decisions until everyone else has had their say shows a complete lack of leadership, of which they should be ashamed.

At a time when the SFA should be taking control of the disaster that is Scottish football, it is an utter embarassment that they are being as narrow-minded and petty as supporters of clubs.

The SFA should have immediately reconvened their appelate panel after Lord Glennie's ruling, rather than trying to ignore it and make us accept their illegal ruling.

The SFA should have brought the SPL & SFL clubs together to come up with a joint decision, rather than compounding the issue by firmly taking the SPL's side of the argument.

The SFA should have decided on the application for membership on its merits immediately upon request, rather than waiting to see, rejecting it now, when the divide in our game is bigger than it has ever been would be absolutely ridiculous. If they had rejected it at the start, perhaps Scottish football wouldn't be even more fractured than it was a month ago.

The SPL clubs made their beds, they will need to lie in them.

The supporters will reap what they have sown, and may realise that living to hate Rangers is a good plan, because they won't have a team of their own to support.

Let Regan preside over the demise of Scottish football, and let the dominoes fall...

  9. Most of my family live in the Highlands and support Caley. I'm a bit of a lone Ranger in the group. But truly they are a diddy team and a reflection of the poor quality of the SPL.

But they did help us win the league by beating Celtic.

I think they are a flash in the pan and will be back in the Highland League before long.

Wait a minute - a return to the Highland League isn't guaranteed! in the interests of "sporting integrity" they'll have to apply to the SFA to renew their membership and then ask the HL clubs to vote them in

  10. Whether its SPL next season (unlikely), SFL DIv 1 or SFL DIv 3 the bloodletting and demonisation of The Rangers will have abated (not ceased!) and the so-called "newco" will move forward.

Rangers fans will never forget those who have set out to destroy us, those who have dressed their dirty deeds in the falsehood that they describe as "sporting integrity". The real truth is that there has been nothing sporting and a distinct lack of integrity as clubs, their officials and fans have enjoyed exploiting the weakness of the current Rangers, the very Association of which Rangers are long and proud members has sought to join as co-conspirators in the pursuit of self-interest wrapped up in the sham of punishing a club that was victim to an alleged criminal and an organisation yet to be found guilty of other apparent misdeeds.

Rangers Football Club has been punished, to the maximum allowed in its associated rules - and beyond, as evidenced by the Court of Session, but the pursuers continue to pursue.

Let them come after us! We will survive through the dark days ahead through the strength of the Rangers Family. There will come a time, maybe five years from now, when we look back on these times. While Celtic celebrate their 5th title in a row, smug in the knowledge that the conspiracy succeeded in removing the only true rival in their way, and club after club has gone into administration, some wiped from the football map altogether; we will laugh at their demise, we will remember their treachery and we will enjoy the knowledge that in 2017 The Rangers will be one of the oldest "newcos" around!

  11. He dived to get an advantage. There was contact but he still dived. He could have easily stayed up.

If a team got that penalty against us I'd be fucking raging.

The reason I can't accept the punish is because of the inconsistency of this fast track thing and how we are the only ones getting down. How Hooper, O'Connor and Stack got away with there incidents is shocking.

It doesn't matter if Aluko had done a backward flip with pike, the offence was that he was held by Hardie, what happens next it irrelevant, the correct decision was a penalty. There was no contact on O'Connor when he went down, thus he was guilty of simulation. However, I agree with you that there certainly is inconsistency because O'Connor was reprieved and Aluko found gulity.

  12. Much has been written and said about the alleged dive by Sone Aluko v Dunfermline, covered by BBC Scotland from every possible angle and discussed at every opportunity (the reasons for this are discussed elsewhere, particularly by the excellent Chris Graham).

However, I have seen little commentary on the supposed breach of the laws of the game, although there has been some inference that Aluko was guilty of "simulation". So, that seems to relate to Law 12 - Fouls and misconduct.

Law 12 covers the issue of unsporting behaviour "… a player must be cautioned for unsporting behaviour, e.g. if a player:

    - attempts to deceive the referee by feigning injury or pretending to have been fouled (simulation)".

Law 12 also lists 10 offences when a direct free kick shall be awarded and includes where "a player commits any of the following three offences:

    - holds an opponent

    - spits at an opponent

    - handles the ball deliberately (except for the goalkeeper within his own penalty area)"

Law 12 makes no reference to the player falling, stumbling or throwing himself to the ground - the offence is holding an opponent. Hardie held Aluko, the ref saw that and awarded a penalty (direct free kick in the penalty area), the incessant BBC Scotland replays show Hardie holding Aluko, the press pictures show the same thing clearly. And, most baffling of all, the SFA Committee agreed that Hardie made contact with Aluko (contact = he held him) yet they have found Aluko guilty of "simulation".

We can only conclude that they deemed the player falling to the ground as simulation having ignored the contact from the opposing player - that makes no sense! The offence is holding, they have acknowledged that, so whatever happens next (falling down) is of no relevance. The only fair decision to be made from this is to agree that the ref, Mr Conroy, got it right, there was contact (an offence), the result was correctly a direct free kick in the penalty area - that is the Law.

Or is there a different law for the Rangers?
