This shouldn't be up for discussion. As good as Klos was and McGregor is, they can't match Goram. He was genuinely world class (and I don't like throwing that phrase around) when at his peak.

9 in a row anyone?
Nah, had that - let's make it 10

Rangers 0 - 1 Kilmarnock, May 2nd 1998.
The day a great team died and we all knew it Was so gutted with that one after we had got right back into it and even gained the momentum when we beat the scum 2-0 at Ibrox (remember Thern's goal? ).

Get well soon Brian
My Grandad had lymphoma but they found it too late to save him, awful disease. Let's get behind him and send him a message at the weekend!

I completely forgot Arteta played for PSG. It was a great result but our squad looked pretty good too at the time.

Erik Bo Andersen, Cleland and Amato.

Is 1/1/94 your birth date? That would explain alot.

Yes, it's true but it's very hard for the likes of me to understand. I was only 2 in the spring of '86, by the time I took an interest in football I was 6 years old and we were well on our way to total domination. I knew of nothing else but Rangers winning league titles and, let me tell you, when we lost the 1997-98 title I was one very shocked 14 year-old, despite my dad, uncle and grandad trying to explain to me that it was nothing compared to what they had been through not all that long ago.
I really don't think things will get as bad as they were in the '80s, but if they do, it'll be no more than a temporary blip in the great Rangers story.

I live in Stranraer so obviously alot of my friends work on the HSS etc. This is not an anti-Rangers measure, you have to realise how many staff and passengers have been physically and verbally abused by feral football fans of various colours. That boat had become a hell-hole for ordinary passengers on certain Saturday crossings and something had to be done.

Germany. Sure, that might seem an odd choice given that they're already firmly established but this group of players will be very strong in Poland/Ukraine in two years and the next world cup.

Lewis Hamilton.

I WAS at the first leg and can 100% assure you the second leg was live on STV with ITV commentators, Not sure about other ITV regions in Scotland though
McCoists goal at Elland Road is my all time favourite Rangers goal, the build up, the pass from Hately and the finish were just sublime
Border had it live.

I recall he was also awesome against the Dutch and had a beauty a save from Seedorf.
Yeah, I remember that one, I think he stopped a bullet of a ground level shot with one hand despite having a very poor field of view and the cameras cut to a gobsmacked Stuart McCall and Stuart McKimmie immediately afterwards.
That save, and some other fine examples of his brilliance, are in the video contained here http://www.football-lineups.com/match/54656/

This is what it's all about!

Vettel and Red Bull will win the title , but I hope Williams can make a return to winning ways
Dunno why you're excited about Lotus, that's just a name, the real Lotus team died years ago and nothing will bring it back - especially not Mike Gascoyne and his Malaysian backers.
The shark fin on the McLaren is hideous, horible car - I hope thos get banned like the X-wings did.

'96-'97 was the one that annoyed me most. We demolished the champions of Russia 10-3 on aggregate, had Gazza, Laudrup, Albertz, Goram, Robertson at the top of their game and yet managed one paltry 2-1 win at Ibrox against Grasshopper (who had picked us apart in Switzerland). We should have done so much better. The only excuse was the injury/suspension crisis that we experienced that season - I think we had Scott Wilson and Greg Shields playing against Ajax and Auxerre at one point.

When Negri became "injured", Smith was too slow to bring McCoist back into the side. Smurk if you want, but when he was re-introduced late in the '97-98 season, McCoist scored some important goals, despite his age. In fact, there was, if memory serves, an eight game spell where he scored nine in early 1998. That side needed a poacher and the only one we had if Negri was missing was McCoist.
I'll always remember that 5 against Dundee Utd, because I was only 13 and hadn't really seen anything at that point but Rangers dominance. A 'ger scoring five in one game? Pah, what's so weird about that, we are supposed to be that good, I used to say to my friends. I didn't realise how lucky we were then.

This is a bold statement, but I've never been a great fan of KT. Pass marks for attitude and determination, definitely. However, apart from a brief period in Autumn 2008, I can't say that I would consider him one of our stars. He's clumsy and weak. I don't want to be right about that, but it's how I feel. I hope he can turn it around.

4-1. Holy shit.

De Boer for both, great player!

Lol, Britney can't help himself, can he?

This was back in the day of 44 league games a season, wasn't it? That's got to be tough on any team with cups and Europe (for all it was worth that season) added in, although it did us no harm the season before.
