  1. West Brom winger James Morrison has urged the club to sign his former Scotland team-mate Barry Ferguson.

Relegated Albion are reported to be showing an interest in signing Rangers midfielder Ferguson as they look to rebuild a squad capable of making a quick-fire return to the Premier League.

Ferguson is widely expected to leave Ibrox in the summer following the 'Boozegate' scandal with team-mate Allan McGregor while on international duty.

The duo received lifetime bans from international football for giving two-fingered gestures after being left out of the World Cup qualifier with Iceland, while Ferguson was stripped of the Gers' captaincy.

Scottish international Morrison is a big admirer of Ferguson and believes signing the midfielder would be a real coup for West Brom.

"Barry is obviously a top player and has been for years. With his experience, he would be, if he signed, a great asset," said Morrison.

"That is what we have been lacking, a real leader. I think experience is the key for us.

"I think the fans would certainly be excited if he was to sign, given the events of the past week."

When he came on against Aberdeen - our game was raised - he has too much to offer - don't sell him :gerbad:

ferguson is on 32k a week if he took a hefty pay cut let him stay. bein honest not recovered from injury at start of season

  2. One by one those soldiers walked into the Broomloan front, and one by one the were clapped. They found their seats and sat down still with a huge applause from the crowd. Every man, woman and child in the stadium was proud that the men who are out there fighting for our country, were home & safe. Albeit, only a fraction of those who were actually sent.

Rule Britannia, was being sung noticeably but not over zealously by the few thousand fans who were there when the soldiers marched in. It was only the beginning of an introduction which would see 50,000 fans almost weep with pride. Throughout the first half there were renditions of Rule Britannia & God Save The Queen, which brought a sense of unionism and patriotism to our hero's and fans. However, this was only the start, as everyone knew there was more.

The whistle blew for half time, and soon after the voice came over the huge speakers asking us to warmly welcome those who put their lives on the line to keep this country free. The Royal Marine Commando's marched onto the Ibrox turf.

It was truly a spectical as every fan from every seat stood up to thank these hero's for their duty. What we wanted to say to them personally was put into a simple, but extremely loud applause. I think it's been the biggest round of applause I have heard at Ibrox for a long time. These men deserved it. For the first 45 minutes, it was Rangers v Hearts at Ibrox for the SPL, for the Half time interval it was Rangers, Hearts and The Royal Marine Commando's v Terrorism for Britain.

Some of the Commando's expressed their joy by jumping up and down and waving on the crowd. And boy did that get us all going. Soon after they branched into 4 groups, taking up the four corners of the stadium. We as fans applauded louder than ever. Those brave men clapped our support and thanked them for it. Fans threw their scarves as a sign of unity. Those soldiers picked up those scarves and wrapped them around their necks proudly. Whether or not those men supported Rangers Football Club or not, at that time I think there would be only one place they would rather be, and that is out there fighting to keep our nation safe.

We wanted them there and they wanted to be there.

One commando was so proud, he robbed our Flag bearer of his union jack, and he waved it. High. So high that every Man, Woman and Child could see what they stand for. It was cheered so loud. After about 10 minutes on the pitch, those men re banded as a group and began their exit off the field. The fans had one more thank you in mind. As our hero's turned and started to march, every fan in the stadium were on their feet clapping their hands and sung Rule Britannia louder than ever before. We wanted to show our appreciation. It was a "spine tingling, hair standing up on your neck" moment.

In the stand there were 2 signs which had appeared as they soldiers marched on. "45 Commando" & "For Queen & Country". This is our Queen and our country and these men will fight for as long as it takes to keep it that way.

It was a truly inspirational day, and will live in many peoples hearts for the rest of their lives. I sincerely hope those men will never forget it. We will never forget any man or woman who has lost their life fighting for our Country and those who still to this day put their lives on the line to keep our country united, will be supported.

RMC - For Queen And Country. No Surrender.

    Hello Bears,

For those of you who are of an older age I remember an individual who used to pogo in the Copland Road end during our 9 in a row era. He was a star turn and the stewards used to get him to sit down but he would have none of it. He provided some entertainment when things were a bit quiet on the park and got the place buzzing.

Just wondered if anyone else remembers him or am I losing the plot

Great result yesterday against Hibs. It's coming home

    WATP

He went out to Spain apparently. Not sure if he's still there.

i remember him he was class wish him all the best

  6. yeah a was right next too him but am only 15 years old , there was a police van in the traffic and it took them a while too go out... i ran cause i had my Rangers top on and all i could hear from one the guys who attacked the man was Capital City Service... so i ran up the hill abit then two guys walked past and said straight in my mates face "capital city service" then walked away...

    wankers.

pure fukin scum u should of stuck the nut on these fukin tramps hate the green and white filthy cunts

  7. I thought the complete opposite, I thought Davis was awful and Mendes looked a bit more like his old self.

Its amazing how people can watch the same game and see things so differently

I thought Edu was outstanding again, broke up the play and was a danger from set pieces.

pedro and davis played well today cause there no scoring does no mean there shit. mendes has set up the fist goal in the last 3 games so how can he b shit. part time supporters. davis works hard in defence and pushes forward and scores so get of there backs for god sake :craphead::gerbad:

  8. Scott Brown the Rangers fan

What an absolute bollocks rumour that was.

He was a Rangers fan. I no this 100%. Obviously not a big one as he sold his soul.

I refuse to believe that mate, just don't see it.

brown dad is rangers daft and so is he ashame he hangs about way tramps

My cousin is involved in the schooling system in embra and knows the family, they are indeed Bluenoses ! :sherlock:

  9. Poor performance granted - would you prefer NOT to win the 3 points?

I suggest a real long hard look at the quality of player we have at our club at present!

off course i want 3 points but that performance today was terrible get walter and his job for the boys to fuk killing our team

  10. It looked like a nervy last 5 minutes but at the end of the day we just need to be glad that we picked up the 3pts. If we play like that and win all our remaining games then I don't think there would be too many complaints. A win is a win at the end of the day and I sense a wee twist on Weds night in the race for the title.

I must add that I couldn't watch the game today because of a deathly hangover, the first time I've missed a Rangers game because of this in the 23yrs of my life so far! Radio Scotland's coverage on the radio actually sent me to sleep.

i would rather had a hangover than watch that shit lucky u

  11. once again today we seen a gers team that will defend for there lives and are thoughtless at going forward is this down to walters tactics.i cant remember a game that was as poor as that shit today . when is it going to get better cause its sore on the eyes to watch that shit. whittaker is mince will never make it,weir average and captain for 9 games fuk me,mccullouch is poor, botd will no chase loose balls ,novo tries but no skill, surely we must hav a better team than that shit today.as for next season it will only get worse i reckon its time for a change of manager somebody that wants to attack and please the fans instead of bein happy way a 1 nil win against the bottom of the league. lets not forget the manager has spent 20 million on that team and its hopeless. billy davies for manager next season

  12. Guy on Clyde coming home from the game said the renewals are out in a few weeks? is this the case?

Like last season do we have to notify Rangers that we do not want to continue, because last season it was automatically carried onto the next season inless you personally went out yur way to notify Rangers.

As it stands I am not renewing. I am not paying 450 quid plus expenses to go and watch players like McCulloch, Dailly, Weir, Whittaker, even Boyd.

It is also only going to get worse, we are skint so there will be no improvement in the quality and if Celtic get this CL pot of money I fear it could be a long road back. It's okay saying support your team through thick and thin but 500 quid is alot to me and i'd rather invest it than spend it watching that shite everyweek :(

i have 2 season tickets in govan and i take my boy it costs 789 and thats not includin gettin to games. fuk it i will no b back and it hurts to say it change is needed starting at the top. broadfoot is never ever gers class and that will be the standard of the team once we sell our few decent ones for sweeties

  13. 1 POINT FROM 6 AT HOME ISNT GOOD ENOUGH!!!

AS FAR AS IAM CONCERNED (AND I HOPE I AM WRONG, BUT I DOUBT IT) THE LEAGUE IS OVER WITH YET AGAIN FOR ANOTHER SEASON!!!!

I WONT BE RE-NEWING THATS FOR SURE!!!

no b there until change is done why does wally sign and play people out postion

  14. another bad day at ibrox 1 point out of 6 at home and a negative display again in another final.i ask this why did watty no buy another defender in summer and keep weir for back up instead of spending millions on players for the future or so were told. the defence today is no fit enough to buy a gers top instead of playing in one. lets b honest here its time for mr negative smith and his job for the boys to go he s had the money and still cant beat apoor celtic side. as a season ticket holder can i justify that money again to watch a stripped side for next season. give billy davies the job at least he will play people in there postions and have a go at teams.
