  1. If any of you think that Butcher will bring anything better then you are fucking dellusional. Who the hell are we gonna bring in to this club, a club everyone who doesnt live on the moon knows is in dire straits. No 'quality' manager is gonna touch us especially since wages will be well smashed. We will end up with a mediocre has-been with maybe a Rangers connection, but not established manager.

  2. There are good bears out there. Whilst I was posted to a NATO job in Holland I had to do a course in Porto a few years ago and it coincided with a European night for us. Sadly I had to fly back to Holland on the day of the match but met loads of Bears in the hotel the night before. They clocked me straight off being in a Brit uniform lounging about a hotel bar in Portugal. A blindingly drunk night was had and when I finally awoke the next day, wrecked and very late for the last day of the course I realised my wallet, along with the hotel money was gone.....bollocks. After a wee look around and chatting to other Bears I was told that my wallet had been found by a slightly more sober fella and he was looking for me to hand it back. I was so relieved, thankful, impressed....all the words could not describe how I felt, but the galling thing was I never found out the lads name. So if by chance any of you know of this story or may know the guy let me know.

  3. I know its early doors but wheres the best place to watch out for where anyone/everyone is staying in Germany.

Im already looking at Gutersloh which is close enough to training camp and where the match is.

Holiday Inn Express or Park Hotel are quite reasonable in Gutersloh, we use them all the time when the troops are moving home.

  4. Erskine,

Army Benevolent Fund (Not HFH they do great work but have taken the spotlight and contributions from many other great forces charities)

    McMillan.

But a walk round yorkhill would be of more benefit, not benefit wrong word. Make more of a difference, more appreciated rather than just an extra grand in the bank.

Agree with this, please do not give to HElp For Heroes, they already get loads of cash thrown at them. Consider BLESMA please if your considering any forces charity. BLESMA (British Limbless Ex Service Men's Association) is the national charity for limbless serving and ex service men and women and their dependants and widows.

As a serving soldier I think this charity would be more worthy considering the amount of trade the towel heads are giving them.

  5. I've spotted a few squaddies, a couple of submariners/sailors and Bootnecks too mate!

Not seen any 'junior service' though lol

I only know of 2 bluenose crabs that I have come across, one used to be my next door neighbour in Wallacewell Rd, Balornock when we were youngsters and the other lad I met in NI. They're both serving in Scotland now though.

Theres loads of Bears here and we were all well pissed off when the summer tour was binned as the hotel they were due to stay in was about 4 minutes from camp, but I suppose there was a bigger picture emerging then.
