I remember in 1960 (?) when he had some dispute with the club and demanded a transfer. That was unheard of in those days, any move away from Rangers was a backward step and, in fact, no English club even tried to sign a Rangers player. The talk now-a -days is of the top 4, then it was the top 3 and Rangers were one of them.
Manu, came to an agreement of £30,000 ( a hellova price in those days) but at the last minute Caldow decided that, whatever the dispute, he was was not prepared to drop to a lower level. He subsequently finished his career at Ibrox.
It make you cry that we are reduced to competing (and losing) with teams like Wigan, Cardiff etc for players.
I had the honour of being introduced to Caldow, Baxter and Alex Scott after a Scotland/Ireland international in Belfast. I don,t think I washed my hand for months afterwards. Some of you older Bears might remember that match.
Scotland won 6-0 and Davy Wilson scored 3. Ralph Brand scored 3 and Scott got the other.
I,d better stop reminiscing of those days, I,m becoming depressed.

We all know who is over here just now. I've been reading various post's, light hearted and such, and last nights result HURTS, equally over here, as it does in Scotland.
But there are some very important points being made locally in the Media, and nation wide. This mans presence has been aligned to by some, that if he was the CEO of an international company that had a franchise of Kinder schools??, pre-kinder??, the Laws of this country would have him in a criminal Court, on, Sex-Child abuse charges.
There are 64Million catholics, out of a population of 268 Million???.
Believe me Bears there's a lot of indifference & anger towards this person. Forget the BBC.
He's stated rececently, RC church to be " God's true Church on Earth ", Protestants here in the South/ Texas have pure contempt for this being. Remember where the last RC, and only RC President met his end. Oh! another conspiracy, sorry.
The Jews hate him, according to Jewish scholars, old " Red Sox" has re-introduced an ancient Mass where Jews will never be forgiven, regarding the cruxifiction, and should convert to Catholocism, and seek forgiveness.

....every night at 10 pm EST , FoxSportsWorld has "The Soccer Report". Something really ticks me off about it. Anytime the Tims play, no matter how trivial the game is, and no matter win or lose, they ALWAYS show highlights from the game. And if they do lose (which is ALOT lately) they always seem to be making excuses for them(especially when we BEAT them!). If we have games in hand, and they get a win or draw, they always say "The hoops edge closer to league leader Gers"....totally disregarding the game in hand....are they just assuming we will lose that game? Now, with Rangers, including our glorious 2-0 win Thurs , barely mentioning it other than to say "Surprised to see us get thru!!!" EVERY OTHER UEFA CUP MATCH got full highlights and comments, they merely flashed the score of our game(and we KNOW there were highlights avail!)!!!??? Any other Rangers games (aside from ones against the Tims) get NO HIGHLIGHTS at all, or barely get mentioned!!!??? And they always refer to Septic as "The Champions" this pisses me off!!! Is this the way it is everywhere?
If we get the Treble....or even the Quadruple......we will still get no respect!!!?? Is everyone soooo into the Hoops???
Why is this??? Anyone else pissed off by it???
I know that McMahon is from Dundee, and a Utd fan. Do the Math. Dundee Hibs ( Utd ) McMAHON...closet TIM....believe me

He was harldy here 5 minutes and he was touting himself around the Premiership, speaking of his desires to play in England etc etc. I've never had a problem with the guys ability, he does look a decent player but his attitude is a disgrace, he has NEVER been committed to this club and IMO he never will be, I for one don't want players like that at Ibrox !!

I don't think it suggests the coaches does it? Maybe reading a bit to much into it?
I'm inclined to agree...........Wattie, McCoist & Kenny Mac would never tell Hutton to leave in a transfer window. This was purely business..............Bain & Murray, end of..........
