  1. Good evening Bears,

I had a quick search but couldn't see an answer elsewhere. One of the games I wanted to come up for was the Stirling home game on Saturday 23rd March, but I've just realised this is an international weekend (typical). Does this mean our games likely to be re-arranged ?

  2. Ok, well first things first. How are Rangers starting with a new name ? He can't be referring to the holding company (whose name has changed) as he says that "Rangers...start today..with a new name". As the new holding company started life some weeks ago, the only thing he can possibly be referring to is the team, which indeed starts today. However the teams name has never changed, it has always been Rangers.

So is this guy, ignorant or a liar ?

  3. You can't put Davis in the same category as Naismith & Lafferty. Davis is an international footballer at the height of his earning capacity, you can't expect him to play in the fourth tier of Scottish football when he could play in the top tier of the English game. The club got a fee for him and we avoided paying his wages which would have been ruinous in D3.

Naismith & Lafferty on the other hand exploited a technical loophole to deprive the club they "love" of much needed income for their own financial gain.

  4. I don't want to face them again until there's a level playing field, with the amount of nonsense we've incurred in the last few weeks I doubt that'll be anytime soon. Would rather make it the most anticipated derby on earth in a few years than the most one sided derby this year

  5. If Rangers had to re-apply for both membership and league status because the new company didn't inherit the old companies status, how can the new company inherit the old companies punishments ?

It seems illogical and clearly they punish us according to the newco's actions and then according to the oldco's actions as they see fit. I'd say it's gone beyond the point of punishment and trying to impose sanctions which are proven illegal takes it to the realm of victimisation. Not only should we reject these sanctions (and whatever punishments they dream up next) but we should be going to the Court of Arbitration in Switzerland to present the facts.

  6. As booler says, we haven't got one if they refuse us a licence.

The SFA are responsible for football in Scotland - if you wanted to join another UEFA sanctioned league outside your national boundaries you'd need agreement from your home jurisdiction (whether your registered or not) and absolutely no way will the SFA sanction this. Plus I cant actually imagine anyone genuinely wants us to play in the Northern Irelxnd league.

  7. Is there a list somewhere of the players we have left ? Is it literally going to be Jig ?

Now we (sort of) know what division we'll be in I guess it's time for Ally to start rebuilding with whatever Green gives him, which I guess will depend on how many earners are left on the wage bill.

  8. Would that not make him liable to HMRC for the big tax case ?

If he owns the " toxic " part of the club

My thinking too, how can he buy the oldco without the liabilities ? Or is thinking that the potential riches on offer in England outweigh those liabilities ?

Either way this is blatantly not happening and the bloke is insane.

  9. Yep third division would be exciting. As we'd be a pro team in what is essentially a semi-pro league we could genuinely target maximum points.

Unfortunately I fully expect all those who've been trotting out the "sporting hypocrisy" line to casually forget that mantra as they ensure we go into d1 to serve their financial interests

  10. We are not a member of any FA, so we can apply wherever we want.

    Anyone fancy playing in Spain?

The SFA have jurisdiction over UEFA/FIFA sanctioned football within Scottish borders. Any team within Scottish borders intending to play in another nations league would need the go ahead from the SFA, wether that team are SFA members or not - which FA were affiliated to isn't really the issue (I.e Cardiff are a member of the Welsh FA but play in England as the Welsh FA have given permission).

It would be nice to think we could just up and leave but I don't really think its possible. Plus I'm not sure the English would accept us.

  11. I agree. Especially the Scottish players who turn their back on the club now will always be seen as traitors and will have to live with all the consequences of that forever. If they'd move to the Newco then asked to transfer - even for the reduced fee in their contracts - at least the club would have got some return. As it is they've totally fucked us over for nothing else but their own benefit.

100% right about moving to the Newco then asking for a move. The way I see it these players were under contract so if they'd wanted to leave this summer we would have had to of negotiated a fee. Using a loophole to walk out on the club is simply profiteering at the clubs expense.
