Why would the EFL even discuss this unless they see a possible advantage for themselves.. ?
Yes, it might just be BT and SKY whispering in their ears but I also see it as part of the EPL vs EFL rivalry -
Modern safe standing areas like in Germany have an extra step sort of but you need to rebuild the stand, but when finished you have twice the capacity of an all seated area..

Yes - I think that is all we should expect - the solid core supporters who will stick with the team - although the 'boycotters' now have no real reason to withhold their support so perhaps a few of them will boost that number.
Unless they have watched us this season.. Anyone who has have lots of reasons to stay away

At least there are a few positives:
- We don't have to give Mike Ashley £500,000
- The SPFL will continue to lose money next season
- The deadwood will be gone (ie. Jig, Moshni, Boyd, Daly etc.)
- We can build a team so that when we return to the top they can compete with Celtic
- We're still The People.
Oh, I feel so much happier now...

Southampton as a club is run superbly, but expectations are minimal at best, a good run in cups and staying in the EPL, that's it. There is little pressure than to stay where they are.
Funnily enough Southampton fans was rather vocal about how "The fat German cow" was destroying the club last summer when she sacked the CEO, the manager walked and half a dozen players was sold... They look a bit foolish in hindsight

I´m a bit suspicious about this sugarcoated version of Newcastle ethos..
What differ Newcastle from say their neighbour Sunderland? A club also with a billionaire owner, a biggish and loyal fanbase that are stuck supporting an underachieving team.
Oh yes.. Newcastle make a profit while Sunderland are loss making, That´s it I guess?
