  1. STATEMENT: The RFB were contacted today by email from Mr Llambias to say that he was disbanding the current Rangers Fans Board and would revisit it after the EGM. The RFB have noted this and whilst awaiting developments will at this time continue to work together with the fans for the betterment of our great Club.

Can we remind all shareholding supporters to follow the Proxy Bear way and get your votes in by proxy now. Every vote counts. It's imperative that the EGM goes ahead smoothly and delivers a result.

The RFB would like to thank all supporters for their words of support and encouragement.

    We will follow on.

  2. Does it matter who it was? We should be thankful that we have fans who care so much about the club that they are willing to go to such lengths. Trust this board at our peril.

It matters because it was suggested that William Paterson was the guy doing the reporting, but that article had another name to it. Nothing to do with the rights or wrongs of the reporting itself.

    it was two

    Ok, thanks.

  3. The latest from NARSA:

RFFF Update Statement - Meeting with RFFF‏

    Hello Hello!

Further to our recent statement and clarification emails related to last week's RFFF proposal, I can confirm that we have been invited to a meeting with members of the RFFF on Monday at 4pm UK time. Until we get a chance to speak with RFFF on Monday, we will be holding off on the seven resignations and/or monies returned requests that we made in our original statement.

We will not be corresponding on this topic until after this meeting, and we'd ask that our members also refrain from using the List to continue debating the matters at hand.

In the meantime we have a cup to win on Sunday!

  4. Follow up statement from NARSA:

NARSA Statement in Response to Member Reaction to the RFFF Statement Dated March 30th, 2014

Further to the NARSA Executive’s statement from Sunday, March 30th, 2014, we would like to clarify the events that lead to the decision to release the statement.

While we recognize that we cannot please everyone all of the time our decision was taken unanimously by the NARSA Executive and done so in the best interests of NARSA and our Member Clubs. The information below clarifies the events surrounding the statement:

Why the NARSA Executive chose this course of action?

The issue that drove the NARSA statement is that 7 persons voted this motion through, and in the NARSA Exec’s opinion this set a precedent for potential future distribution of remaining funds in ways not in line with the original criteria. The RFFF has no constitution in place, but we all know why the fund was set up and the enclosed details what our collective understanding of the RFFF is (see attached a document circulated from Jim Hannah from March, 2012).

The NARSA Executive is elected individuals whose role is to represent Member Clubs in the operational running of NARSA. We strive to communicate as much as is practicable to Member Clubs on all topics of note and interest, however we also reserve the right to act on what we collectively believe to be NARSA’s best interests, which is exactly what we did on this occasion.

    Timing of the statement

Ideally we would have polled all Member Clubs, but given the recentness of the event (Wednesday, March 26th) that led to our statement this was not possible as we felt the need to act while the issue was a ‘hot topic’.

Similarities in messaging content to the Vanguard Bears statement on the same topic

There are only so many ways to ask for or demand a resignation, which is why we chose the wording that was chosen.

    Next steps

We have received dialogue from Andy Kerr (Rangers Supporters Assembly Chair) who is acting as a broker in trying to set up a meeting between the NARSA Executive and the RFFF Committee as soon as possible to discuss all points raised. It is our hope that this meeting happens this week.

Questions raised by NARSA List members are addressed below:

    - Who Are the Board of the RFFF and what are their roles?

We have asked for clarification on this from the board

    - What is the fund for exactly?

The fund was set up to assist primarily in the day-to-day running of the club (again, see enclosed document)

    - What is the plan going forward?

To have a member of NARSA on the RFFF committee and to help establish a RFFF constitution to ensure 100% clarity on all fund communication and allocation going forward.

    - Assuming NARSA get the $80K returned.... what's going to happen with the contributions?

The money being requested back as stated in the statement would be kept in trust until such time it was needed by RFC in the manner it was originally intended.

We appreciate the emotion surrounding this statement and can assure each and every Member Club that the decision to issue the original statement was not one taken lightly, but one that was taken wholeheartedly with the best of intentions in preserving the integrity of the RFFF remit, and the tens of thousands of dollars raised by NARSA Member Clubs.

We hope that this sheds some light on these events and welcome any thoughts and questions going forward.

  5. This was sent to the chairman of the RFFF

"The RFFF voted today that in the event of litigation against Craig Houston, arising from content on the Sons Of Struth Facebook page, a proposal to provide financial support will be taken to a general meeting of fans."

Below is the NARSA (North American Rangers Supporters Association) response to the above statement by the RFFF (Rangers Fans Fighting Fund) from Wednesday March 26, 2014.

NARSA hereby demands that the seven members of the RFFF who voted in favor of the motion to support the above proposal resign their positions on the RFFF Committee by Friday, April 4th. NARSA feels these seven persons have failed in their duty to use the funds in the manner befitting the original purpose or in the best interests of Rangers FC and the RFFF.

Should any of these seven individuals remain on the RFFF Committee by end of day Friday, April 4th, 2014, NARSA and its Member Clubs will demand the immediate return of all monies donated.

In addition, we propose that, as NARSA raised and donated funds in excess of $80,000 USD, we have official representation on the RFFF Committee going forward. Our representative would be the sitting President of NARSA, by default.
