  1. That Sanchez v Melendez fight was something else. Similar to the first Zombie v Garcia fight in that both men seemed to forget technique entirely at times, but there were less attempts to take the fight to the ground than in that fight.

Pure entertainment, but not the 'best fight ever', or whatever else it'll be called tomorrow. Technique is a factor.

  2. By 'everyone' I meant our enemies, not ourselves.

The media; the scum in the SPL all saying we've hit rock bottom, no way back blah blah - yet I'm loving every minute - so far anyway ;-)

So the monkeys think we've hit the bottom, you think it's great, and you want to know if that opinion makes you a taig? Really?

Attention seeking sure is strong in here.

  3. "Everyone" is saying no such fucking thing. If anything, everyone is looking forward to the years ahead as they represent a new challenge and a chance to add some never before won trophies to our bulging cabinet.

So in summary, you're not a taig, just a pleb.

  4. Our club was on the brink of extinction at one point and some of you are bitching about this result?

That's like saying if you narrowly avoid dying you shouldn't complain if you get burgled.

We have better players in every position, and those players didn't earn their wages today. It doesn't matter what happened a couple of months ago, that was a shocking performance and they should be taken to task for it.

  5. Oh jolly hockey sticks...The Tims love us, The Tims Love us, The Tims love us.

For what? Pretending to "like" Rangers?

Grow fucking up and give Charles Green the arse licking you are giving these so called "Converts"

Were you sitting in GF2 the other night?

There was a superfan trumpet telling us all we should be ashamed of ourselves because we didn't sing quite as much as he did.

  6. I don't really think that's the case if you have watched Bayern this season.

He has scored against some top clubs including 2 against Man City and a hat trick against Napoli who are no push overs not to mention the winner against Madrid in Munich.

To say he only scores and impresses against the weaker teams is not true.

Defensively, Napoli are like a side from the bottom of the Bundesliga. They play open, attacking football and almost completely disregard the defensive side of their game. They're successful because their attacking players are so good. Lose Cavani and Lavezzi and they'll finish bottom half next season.

Point taken about Madrid, though that goal was a scuff in off his trailing knee after a double fuckup from the Madrid defence. Man City were pish in Europe.

  7. He's a flat-track bully.

Will tuck four past Basel and get eight hat tricks against the bottom half of the Bundesliga to pad his stats, then fluff it against Dortmund and the like.

No doubt he's an outrageously good finisher when the circumstances are right, but the mental strength just isn't there.

  8. Don't like his chances against Aldo but I'd love to see him fight him. He's improved so much.

Hominick took Aldo five rounds, Zombie ditched him in seven seconds.

I'm not saying Zombie would beat Aldo, but I think he'd give him a good fight. A very good fight.

  9. As I said earlier, he has the precision and the skills to finish fights through pure technique, but put a brawl in front of him and he'll fucking get involved.

He launched to the top of my favourites list after the Leonard Garcia double, but I think that fight has cemented the man's place as my favourite fighter in the sport at the moment.

  10. I watched the Zombie's debut vs Garcia on a stream, single most exciting fight I have ever watched.

    How good was the WEC?

That fight was just outrageous. Every punch, kick, and elbow was thrown with the intention of removing whichever limb it landed on, and both men took a ludicrous amount of punishment.

It got to the point I was just sitting laughing, muttering 'fuck me, what's this?' now and then. Incredible.

  11. Korean Zombie is an animal. His two fights with Leonard Garcia were incredible.

Zombie's main weakness is his willingness to get into a pure brawl though. He has good crisp striking, he can land and move in and out well, and he's good on the deck, but he's still a brawler at heart so if the fight goes that way he'll just go in swinging.

I want Zombie to win purely because he's given me more enjoyment, but I think Poirier will take it.

  12. Stylistically this looked like being a cracker, but Cerrone is just a better standard of fighter.

One of those who'll never quite get to the very top though because he's far too aware of how good he is, so he starts trying to showboat and arse around, and the better fighters will bounce him around, as Diaz did.
