  1. I can see were you are coming from as a football supporter but as a rangers supporter its about the club not just the team or ally to me the choice is simple football fan or rangers supporter for me no choice it,s rangers till I die

That's fair enough but most games I went to I left early as I was pissed off. Going to the games doesn't make me as happy as it used too as I can't stand the football on show and I believe it's because of how they are told to play. Financial it's not affordable for me either so there's no good of me going for my own reasons. That doesn't make me any less a fan

  2. Prefer to read than take part in the forum, however this comment I partially agree with.

You're right no one does know how to coach kids, but it's got sod all to do with beer, diets, grass roots.

The problem, as I and many grass root coaches see it, we're trying to coach kids the european way, that does not suit our style of player.

I've been coaching kids for over 25 years, we started this euro coaching around 94/95, we should have produced better quality players by now

if we are to believe the coaching mantra of those who knew better. Prior to the introduction of this style of coaching the national teams were doing not too badly

for qualification of tournaments. So despite what the SFA try to tell us, or the media for that matter, we have been using the euro methods in this country for years, without success, we need to ask why?

League reconstruction, sticking plasters . . .none of it works.

    What does?

For the euro methods to be a success they need to be taught from 4/5 years of age

secondly, skills/drills need to be done over and over, the very basics pass and control (this is the biggest challenge, kids don't want to put the work in, they just want to be like their hero off the TV)

Pro-Youth . . . wastes the kids, a vast majority turn in to billy big baws, I've got 6 year old kids training with a senior team, those kids now do not want to put the effort in, scrap pro-youth (in my opinion) or don't let kids train at senior clubs till 12 years old

These are just my observations of a few areas where we have went wrong in the past 20 odd years

I agree with most of what you said but no professional athlete should be boozing every weekend or have nandos loyalty cards.

How does it not suit our type of player? It should be coached out of them from grassroots level (to play proper football!) they should have the type installed into them at grassroots level

  3. It has to be our drink culture. Too many players out shagging and getting steaming at the weekends etc. the dedication isn't there anymore. I don't think they practice enough either.

I was saying to a friend the other day how is it possible to motivate young players who have everything financially by the age of 18-20?

Booze birds and kebabs(or nandos) are the downfall of most potential starlets in this country IMO aswell as poor coaching. The whole 'not tall enough to be a footballer' philosophy should be a sackable offence for anyone who preaches it

  4. we still had the red & black the season before that one just there(see photo). Only last season did they change so i'd imagine they'll be back to red & black next season

Great pic and a great day

As for the B/R I hope they're back next season

  5. If you have the money to renew but choose not to because we aren't playing well then yes I believe that makes you less of a supporter, we need to stick together through the toughest period in our history. We knew it wouldn't be easy but if we are all in it together we will come out stronger.

There is no way I am paying £300 to watch mccoist play 4/5/1 at home against part timers. He does not have a clue on how to motivate a team, adapt different formations or muster a decent set piece. Playing players out of formation all the time. My pet hate of having 11 players in our own box defending a corner etc etc etc

Sorry, but thats not for me. When we get a football manager in as our manager I will be back in a heartbeat

  6. Walter is an ex football manager with no business savvy. His philosophy was always to buy his way out of a problem. He's not really what we need on the board to be honest

By no business savvy I'm talking about his failed pubs.

His close friendship with Ally will do us no favours either.

  7. You're entitled to your opinion mate.

But at least Chris is out there trying to get the views of the Rangers support into the mainstream, at least he is standing up for the club in public and as for his book you don't have to buy it, but in my opinion there are not enough books written about our club, so good luck to him in this, I will be buying it.

Next time you are on the box fighting the good fight be sure to let us all know and we will tune in to support you as well.

It's all part of the RST/Real Rangers men campaign to get people into positions :)

  8. What a ridiculous statement that is,so you would seriously take Imran over any Rangers men, esp.Walter or Ally.Tell you what if it were Walter or Ally they certainly are not doing it for the detrement of the club, can you say that about the others??????????

Why is it ridiculous? Who else would like to sling mud at Green etc to get 'REAL RANGERS MEN' in position when they have put fuck all into the club. Murrays, Bains, Smiths and so on. There is a mole from the Green side and at least one other from the 'real rangers' side.

Won't be long til jobs for the boys are guaranteed for a good while and some failed businessmen will return such as Martin Bain etc.

I ask you this...why is the BBC now banned after leaking a document which showed Mccoist to be inept and that the 'real rangers men' have no idea of what they are doing for our clubs future? As soon as a document was leaked which showed them all up it was hushed away and laughed at. It was laughed at by McCoist of all people.

Why was the BBC not banned before this? The time they were banned before was for another piece on Mccoist.

Smith and McCoist have never put a penny into Rangers.

  9. Gogzy, you are bang on,but he started to make a fool of our club with his untoward ramblings, showing me that he was nothing more than a business man with total disregard to the heritage that we hold dear.,He obviously thought ie Sheff Utd, that we were just another football club, but we are far more than that, infact we are more than an institution, and that is no bravado, dare i say it, like sellik ,its a way of life in Scotland,

AJ couldn't even say no surrender on tv properly because he is a tarrier sympathiser

He is just another yes man
