  1. While doing some research on old Dessy and his financial payments to the Sellick (formally known as Pacific Shelf) (formally known as Celtic FC & Athletic Club) I stumbled across this letter from Old Fritzl in response to a piece by a journalist (which I don't think has been on here previously?).

Having read Fritzls reply I am astounded at the complete hypocrisy that these c unts believe and spew from their mouths.

    Original article

    Fritzls Letter (c&p):

    Mr Gavin O'Reilly,

    Group Chief Executive Officer,

    Independent News & Media PLC

    Independent House,

    2023 Bianconi Avenue,

    Citywest Business Campus,

    Naas Road,

    Dublin 24

    9th March 2012

"Celtic fans should stop gloating because without Rangers to hate they'd be lost" - Chris Lowry, Irish Independent 8 March 2012

    Dear Gavin,

I was very disappointed to read the above article in the opinion section of the Irish Independent website

yesterday. The high standards of journalism, that the IN&M claim to uphold, were clearly ignored when

    this article was published.

It is frankly a disgusting piece of journalism that does a disservice to the IN&M Group. This type of

gutter press is not what I would have expected from a company in which I have invested a substantial sum

    of money.

Mr. Lowry's article is littered with ill-informed stereotypical remarks, which are offensive to Celtic FC,

Rangers FC and indeed football fans in general. He has made a broad brushed attack, branding both

Rangers and Celtic Football Clubs as organisations whose "raison d'etre is ...to taunt, abuse and

whenever possible physically attack rival fans " and describing their respective supporters as being "as

loathsome as each other". Effectively Mr Lowry is branding both Football Clubs and all their supporters

as sectarian thugs and louts. This is a complete falsehood, bordering on bigotry. It is offensive, not just

to me as a fan, but to the millions who support these two huge clubs.

Mr Lowry also claimed that Celtic fans are gloating at Rangers FC's financial situation. To be clear as a

director, shareholder and supporter of Celtic FC, I take no personal satisfaction in the current misfortunes

    of Rangers FC.

Anyone with even a basic knowledge of Celtic FC would know that it adopts a zero tolerance towards

racism, prejudice and violence. These are major issues for all of football and one which Celtic FC takes

very seriously. For your information, I have attached below Celtic FC's pro-active strategy to reduce

instances of racism and prejudice. It strikes me that Mr Lowry is exactly the type of person Celtic FC had

in mind when it designed this code. It is the ill informed and prejudiced mindset of people like Mr

Lowry, that clubs like Celtic FC are trying to root out.

"Celtic Football Club will not tolerate unacceptable conduct at Celtic Park or at away football stadium.

Unacceptable conduct is conduct which is violent or disorderly. Violent conduct includes any actual, attempted, or threatened physical violence against any person,

    or intentional damage to property.

    Disorderly conduct includes:

Conduct which stirs up or sustains, or is likely or is designed to stir up or sustain, hatred or ill will against or towards individuals or groups of people because of:

    • Gender, colour, race, nationality (Including citizenship) or ethnic or natural origin

    • Membership, or presumed membership, of a religious group or of a social or cultural group with perceived religious affiliation

    • Sexual orientation

    • Transgender identity

    • Disability

Using threatening, abusive or insulting words or conduct

Displaying writing or any other thing which is threatening abusive or insulting''.

A detailed description is then set out of unacceptable conduct. It says that any person engaging in unacceptable conduct may be subject to any, or a combination of the following:

    • Removal from the stadium

    • Suspension from official matches involving Celtic FC

    • Indefinite ban from attending official matches involving Celtic FC

    • Report to the police and possible criminal proceedings.

These are not just words. It is widely acknowledged that Celtic FC has been at the forefront of the

campaign to stamp out racism, sectarianism and other forms of prejudice in football. Substantial

investment has been made by the club into this campaign and numerous 'so called' Celtic fans have been

banned from Celtic Park for breaching the rules.

Chris Lowry ignores the tradition of Celtic FC and what it stands for and the passion the fans have for

Scottish football when he questions "the point of Scottish Football quote from the social mission

    statement of the Club as follows;

"Celtic Football Club is for people who want to support a football club that strives for excellence

in Scotland and in Europe,is proud of its history, supportive of its local community and seeks to

support the following aims: "To maximise all opportunities to disassociate the Club from

sectarianism and bigotry of any kind. To promote Celtic as a Club for all people, regardless of

gender, age, religion, race or ability"

Mr Lowry's article is not based on fact. Therefore, any response from you to the effect that "this is 'fair

comment"' simply will not stand up. I am calling on you to retract this opinion piece without delay and

to issue an apology to both clubs. In the absence of a suitable apology, I will be recommending that

Celtic FC make a formal complaint based on incitement to hatred.

    Dermot F. Desmond

I have highlighted a few of Pacific Shelves "policies" which as Dessy reiterates they do not find acceptable.

Is it just me when thinking of the recent banners from the Groin Brigade and others along with their songs of hate, terrorism and sectarianism that it is all just words with them and no action.

How many 'so called' Celtic fans have been expelled, removed and banned from Pacific Park?

I just find it all so hypocritical as usual from them.

  2. Just had a wee read of my sig while posting this morning and thought to myself - so true Mr Struth.

We will be stronger, we will fight the good cause and be together as a team/supporters.

    No surrender! uk.gif

  3. I dont often read any of their mhankie pages but I happened to click through links on to this page on CQueerNews that is so laughable I just had to share with you all for the pure utter pish that they no doubt all believe.

I'll cut n paste to save you going there!!!

I wonder if we will see two rival Scottish Premier Leagues next season? We could see a SPL consistent with the threats made to SFL clubs last week, let’s call it SPL Loyal, with Hibs, KIlmarnock and a few others. They would sit atop a feeder league containing whoever they could attract from the SFL and Sevco, who due to fan power would be excluded from the top division, no matter how few teams that division had.

Meanwhile a rival SPL could setup, let’s call it SPL Solvent, with Celtic, those from the Gang of 10 who realise they are better-off participating in a league which is likely to survive until next May, along with the teams who last season finished near the top Scottish Football league.

SPL Solvent would make no threats to exclude SFL clubs who were due promotion on merit, and would therefore attract the balance of SFL clubs; which is likely to be the overwhelming majority. This league would contain the only club with the ability to underwrite the commitments needed to bring broadcasters and commercial partners on-board. It would also be free of, moral and ethical questions, where clubs are united with their fans on what it means to organise sporting events.

It’s not the worst idea floated in recent weeks.

Oh so they have other mental ideas !!! doh.gif' alt='default_f_doh.gif' alt='doh'>.gif'> lol

  4. Anyone else noticed the lack of SPHell teams spending money this close season?

No signings of any significance ! No big money roll out signings including the Tims.

Wonder why ? Probably they know that next season they are all gonna have a skint season with no Bears paying extortionate prices for their home games.

Here's hoping that a few of them are at the squeaky bum time.

    What does everyone else think?

  5. Apologies for coining a phrase from the depths of mhankieness but I think that to use this phrase is apt at thyis point in our history.

THe day will come when we are stronger and back in our rightful position at the top of the league.

We will then be able to turn on these feckers who come cap in hand for scraps off our table and tell them .....

"FUCK RIGHT OFF YA MHANKY BASTARDS REMEMBER WHAT YOU DID TO US" !!!!!

sorry for rant but feeling pretty low this morning.

  6. My link

Steven Naismith's agent has denied reports that West Ham have made an approach for the Rangers striker.

Reports claim Naismith was the subject of a £2 million offer from the Premier League new-boys but his representative, Russell Kyle, has rejected the stories.

Kyle insists the striker, who saw his season cut short after suffering a cruciate ligament injury in October, is concentrating on regaining full fitness in time for the new campaign with Gers.

He told the Daily Record: "I can say categorically that we have had no contact with West Ham and that no one from Rangers has been in touch to tell us Steven has been the subject of an inquiry from them.

"Steven is on holiday and his primary concern is returning to Rangers and being fully fit for the new season."

Naismith, who has three years left to run on his contract at Ibrox, previously attracted a bid from West Brom which was rejected by the club's administrators, Duff and Phelps.
