  1. Gut feeling says that we will end up as a newco - I can't help but feel that the club is saddled with excessive operating costs from various past contracts & endeavours as well as a costly staffing structure. These guys will have weighed up the cost of potentially spending £xm on a CVA + the assiciated financial impact of changing the way the club operates but gaining european money over seasons 2-4 against starting afresh with a new structure and sacrificing 3 years of european money to have a better, more viable operating model in place.

This will mean the CVA offer will be a take or leave it type affair and whilst creditors would be far happier with some money rather than no money HMRC will be more interested in the EBT appeal ruling than collecting a percentage of our debt whilst octopus/ticketus may find themselves in a shaky legal position should they accept settlement of the ticket debt at say 15p in the pound then try to chase Shyte for the remainder. I can't personally see how they can do this (with any chance of being succesful at least).

At least all will become pretty clear in the near future, either way.

  2. Might be time for a bit of realisation here guys - Being honest I can only see us keeping hold of 1 or 2 of our "bigger" players. Remember there's a massive excess in costs - it's neither practical nor fair to ask all these guys to take a permanent massive wage cut to stay with the club. Realistically we don't need the level of player we have to compete in the SPL whilst the club goes through some restructuring either. Can see Davis and Shagger going first as even if the transfer nonsense stands we have cover there, would like to hope Naismith is kept along with Aluko but wouldn't be surprised to see one or the other go too. Lafferty probably will (and should imo) go, Whittaker is very much a possibility too.

  3. Don't bank on the "oldco" ever re-merging. It's obviously impossible to say as nobody really knows the ins and outs but depending on many things, not least of all the tax case/ticketus it may be in the best interests of the creditors to wind the current company up and distribute what funds / assets are available.

I would assume D&P would be retained in some capacity as already stated, they would not however be putting a full team, full time into dealings for a further x years.

  4. I'm no pop fan, but I think this song should be played before the game on Sunday as it pretty much sums up our circumstances & the words of it would drive the tims mad, same as it has knowing it appears we're gonna bounce back & not liquidate....

That is a seriously homosexual suggestion...just....why?

  5. Don't think it's a good idea - though maybe I would do as I'm new too! You'll probably find that lots of the guests are like me (though obviously i've registered now) in that they come on the board for info during the transfer windows or at a time like this and don't really have a need or the time to post. I was looking at the board for about a year and a half before bothering to sign up. Anyone joining up simply for the wind up factor will be found out pretty quickly and will soon get bored anyway.

As stated it's also through allowing as many people as possible to view the site that the board will be financed (I doubt it makes any substantial money in the form of profit, could be wrong though)

  6. I thought it was around £600 per day?

It will be in the £600 per day region each for the senior guys, typically the charge is somewhere between £50 and £100 an hour (though I have seen as high as £150) depending on how senior the administrator is. £600 an hour would be the equivalent of having 4 very senior staff in there with a team of 4 junior every hour, I would say this is unlikely.
