  1. Oh fuck right off indeed!

Listen what Charles Green says is correct, the players are denying the club a fee so they get the fee themselves, it is completely selfish in this regard. No transfer fee = massive signing on fee, the guy is involved in a football agency he knows exactly what they're playing at and I for one hope our hand is as strong as Green suggests.

What Greens saying is pish and everybody slating the players who took massive wage cuts are talking pish aswell.

who the fuck else would move to the newco when they can get a move down south and a big fee for themselves.

when the players are too old there's no loyalty to them then so its a bit rich expecting loyalty when they're young.

  2. Of course they are all going to quit.

We will need to build a squad we can afford from the bottom up, whatever league we are in, we could never keep this squad whatever happened.

This expectation that people will write off million of pounds to give it to charles green is madness.....but mob mentailty seems to have taken over on here.

That's why no one apart from big jig has came out and said publicly that they're staying, everyone of the cunts have got moves lined up and they're just waiting on the first moves being made and then they'll all come out.

  3. Why couldn't he say he wanted to leave but will transfer over and get the club 500k for the sale?

Because he can get that £500k all for himself, when it comes down to it they're all thinking the same way that's why we haven't heard a peep from anybody bar big jig.

  4. With every Earl under the sun screaming for titles to be stripped, calling us cheats and should the governing bodies bend to their demands, shouldn't we in turn lobby for our hard earned Coefficent points to be stripped from Scottish footy? With a euro ban it's unlikely to impact on us short term and might make title stripping less attractive. Just my thought for tithe day

How many coefficient points have we amassed in the last 5 years? It cant be that many seeing as we've only won once in the last 28 games, but get them stripped anyway :craphead:

  5. There were a few articles in the paper today about the effect of us being in the SFL set up. It was all positive and you got the feeling that our presence would be appreciated (the obvious financial benefit is getting them all excited)

Sponsors, chairmen and players seem to be keen to have us (makes a change eh?)

For £money£, nothing else. No cunt likes us we dont care WATP

  6. We need to start digging seriously on this subject and what other murky dealings exist in Scottish Football.

Let's start with the soon to be trumpeted club under fans ownership based close to glasgow and the love child of chick young.

It is alleged by some that during the extensive due diligence over the last 18 months turned up an interesting payment to player, which didn't all go to the player but MAY have been split with a (now gone) senior employee on the professional footballing division.

Findings allegedly show that said employee was not to utilise the services of another person from the football division as a large payment of readies would be payable - said individual was engaged in their normal employment pursuit for less than 5mins and large wedge subsequently transferred and split with other parties including senior employees of company. This little club are obviously already linked to some dubious dealings with a former employee now engaged within another UK football league.

Seems to be an activity very well known to commentators in the game but yet to be reported - will such payments be raised by our investigative press later this week at the media conference and ask what the new owners can make the public aware of from their due diligence and whether this impacts on their membership of the going forward - Club 11 in 2012/2013 spl fixtures?

How about getting to the point and saying exactly whats gone on.

  7. I think there's two things. Their argument is that we get an unfair advantage because we were able to pay players we wouldn't otherwise have been able to afford. If that's true then it's something a club can be punished for (fair enough in my opinion).

However on the other side of the coin, these players were all eligible at the time they played for the club. You can't retrospectively revoke their registration on the grounds that some offence had been committed off the pitch and declare results void. If you could do that then every time there was some minor legal problem with a player's contract that needed to be ironed out (something that happens all the time) you would have to go back and declare them all retrospectively ineligible as well.

But isn't this exactly what the spl are trying to do.

  8. Tried to look at this as if it was any other SPL club that formed a newco and dumped debt.

I do think that 'something' should be metted out as a preventative punishment as with the amount of debt floating about clubs should not easily reform and dump the debt. I do think the new spl sanctions of performance based points deductions etc. are preventative and correct. We have 'suffered' our 10 point penalty and as a NewCo we have 'suffered' no Europe for 3 years - sanctions we knew about and accepted - just the same if this had happened after the new rules we would have accepted that.

However, on the other hand financial mismanagement is NOT the fault of fans, no matter which club it is.

I dont buy into all this crap about 'bringing the game into disrepute' - the sanctions of point penalties is enough.

But given it is not the supporters fault and given we have suffered 'penalties' for where we are here is what I think is a sensible course of action:

For forming a Newco we should accept the increased 3 year points penalty, a reduction in the TV pool share, a demotion to SFL3 and a transfer embargo for 12 months......

..... and the sentence should be suspended for 5 years (7 years - 10 years?) against on-going good corporate governance and complience.

Any financial slippage and the points sanctions come into immediate effect, and the demotion and transfer embargo suffered at the end of the season.

This would allow us to be 'punished' (and any team to be punished) BUT not the fans and any new Board of Directors under the NewCo will have to operate to the strictest of standards as the suspended sentence (death sentence) is hanging over the club.

Then why don't we apply for an sfa membership and then apply to join the sfl, we'll get in before spartans or cove.

When we work our way back up then no kunt can say anything about how we got there (that's if theres anykunt left who hasn't been liquidated by that time)it's the only way or these kunts will cripple us with sanctions but still take our money.

  9. Charles Green went off on a bit of a rant a few days ago when he kept being pushed about the issue of SPL membership. He sorta said, i dont know, maybe its the SPL, maybe its the lower division, maybe we go to ireland, maybe we just play exhibition matches.

the thing is, getting into a league requires a vote. the chairman of the EFL (english league from div 2 to championship) said it wouldnt be impossible for a scottish team to join, but they wont allow any team to apply without permission of the SFA/SPL if they had a membership there.

right now we dont have a membership, so nothing is stopping us applyign to English Division 2. It would go to a vote, which we could win if EFL Division 2 chairmen see it as an opportunity to gain more revenue, better sponsors, better attendances, and perhaps more TV cameras kicking around. There maybe some legal issues with FIFA/UEFA though but Welsh teams play in the English set-up so we could make a case that there is already precedent set for teams competing across the border.

Both England and Norn Ireland are a part of Britain so from a legal standing we coudl perhaps make a case for playing in their leagues.

The other alternative of exhibition matches obviously seems the least viable and woudl probably be a disaster - but very unlikely imo.

Is this the reason why CG hasn't applied for the membership to be transferred yet?

  10. My own view is that if they attempted to suspend us for any length of time, we should seek an injunction to prevent any football being played in Scotland till a legal decision was made in a court as to the validity of any such possible imposed suspension.

They wouldn't suspend us, they just wouldn't allow the transfer of the sfa membership. where exactly do we go from that point?

  11. Sky have already said the TV deal will be pulled if Rangers go to SFL3. They said that should Rangers be dropped to SFL1, with a chance of promotion in 1 year, then they will wait for 1 year only.... if not, the deals off.

So will the turkeys vote for Xmas in not voting us back to SPL as they will lose £1M+ a year with Rangers in SFL3, simply as that.

There's no way that'll happen, they'll renegotiate but they'll still show the spl.

They show the blue square premier and the irish league so they'll still want the spl.

  12. Green failed, he dangled the CVA in front of us, he was confident of getting the CVA, it didn't happen, we are a newco.

Ok maybe he honestly tried, but maybe he knew all along that it wasn't going to happen, he's now picked up a huge club for a bargain price of £5.5 mil no debts but an uncertain future, how long before his backers start looking for a return, Green cannot guarantee success on the park, he cannot guarantee his investors a return except that their capital is safe... Rangers assets are worth far more than £5.5 mil and they belong to Green & co, they should be in the hands of Rangers fans, Walter, McColl and Park being three.

They could've had them if they wanted them enough, ffs how much is jim mccoll worth and they're squabbling over how much CG wants.

He could've paid off the whole debt and he wouldn't even have noticed it leaving his account.

  13. IMO they would have been slaughtered for doing that while a lot of supporters still believed a CVA was acheivable.

Not if they were honest, all they had to do was say the CVA was bullshit and this is the only way forward.

we may not have liked it but we would've accepted it from walter.

  14. Smith/McColl made their bid after HMRC confirmed that not only would there be no CVA, but there was never even a chance of one. (I am convinced that everyone involved knew that it would be rejected.)

So Smith/McColl would have bought the assets if Green didn't. Therefore to say we would not have a club right now if it wasn't for Green is wrong.

So why didn't they step forward and say that at the during the CVA process, it would've saved alot of cynicism and people would've been behind them straight away, and CG wouldn't have got a look in.

  15. Quite a few on here use this statement "Green stepped in to save us"

Lest we forget, Green was not one of the origional parties interested in saving us, if Bill Miller hadn't seen the books and shat in his pants he would have been the saviour, same goes for Bill NG, like Trotters Trading Green saw an opportunity and had a cunning plan

Green was nowhere to be seen until he had that oppotunity to make some money.

Green never stepped in to "save us" he never gave a shit about Rangers before, he stepped in to make money, that's why Walter made his not for profit statement.

The whole deal changed when the CVA was refused, that's when Rangers men made their move, if it's a newco Rangers with a new start and no debts then why shouldn't Rangers men buy it?

If we go to div 3 we need to be united, how many will buy season tickets for Div3 football? we can only unite under true Blue blood Rangers Men

The rangers men made their move when they thought they could pay as little as possible, as for asking CG to "stand aside", that's fucking laughable if they weren't so serious.

Has walters group actually committed to investing yet or are people creaming themselves over them and we don't even know their plan yet?

  16. It seems Dave King was right all along. Coming out of this with a CVA was never a possibility. HMRC were never going to do a deal. McColl and Park obviously knew this as well.

We as a support must do all we can to drive out Green. We have the opportunity to welcome owners who have the club's best interests at heart and we must grab it. It's time for Green to go, he simply has to go. Walter Smith is a club legend and this is one battle Green cannot win.

The thing that done it for me was walters statement about his mate crying down the phone, i've never heard such boak inducing shyte in my life.

The least he could've done was had the decency to say they waited until we were liquidated because it would've cost too much for a CVA, maybe then people wouldn't be so cynical of the whole thing.

  17. Derry city moved leagues in the 1980s to the league of ireland. So a precedent has (kinda) been set. Although the move was more for political reasons. It is possible to move if the governing thinks there is due cause.

Posted this in the other thread

"Gretna played in england in the 90's, they even played bolton in the fa cup in 93, why don't we join the english pyramid system.

Might be 10 years of shit but after that it's a lifetime of being in with the bigboys"
