Our players wore the number 2 on their shorts last week that's why. Jig will never be the player Sandy was, but our captain wearing the number 2 on the day we finish the season undefeated is a mark of respected to Sandy. You come across as a disrespectful rodent btw.
Fuck off disrespectful. I was as devastated as anyone when the news of Sandy's passing broke.
The man was laid to rest yesterday, now it's his family's time to mourn.
McCulloch could have worn it last week as a mark of respect. Not the day after the mans funeral.
-
I thought we all wore the number 2 last week? I might have read it wrong though.
Hardly. His funeral was only yesterday.
Only on the shorts.
Yes Sandy was laid to rest yesterday. Let's let his family get on with dealing with their loss.
I just don't think gestures like these need to be ripped. Keep the happy memories.
-
what an arsehole. you are
Thanks.

I can't believe I read that.
I think the last thing on Lee's mind was impressing fans. Great gesture, for one of Rangers' best.
He could have done it last week? No?
No need to take the Mourning to the extreme.
Like I said, let him be at peace.
-
Why today? Why not last week?
Clutching at impressing fans Jig? The respects, plaudits and gestures have been made.
Let's let Sandy sleep.
-
Congratulations brother.
The only feeling you experience that's better than the Rangers skelping the Shettleston Harriers.

These people trying to damage the club should be completely ignored now. Don't give them the time of day.
From being on social media, I get the impression the biggest majority of ST holders are renewing. People who haven't had one last year want to now purchase. (Myself included)
Then take the element of us who don't go on social media. Who's weekly ritual it is to go and watch The Rangers.
The UoF are just an unwelcome distraction in the rebuilding process. Fuck them!

Chance of a ticket. Don't know if I won't to go there though.
-
Could you imagine the uproar it would cause if we say, fielded a weakened team?
I honestly believe we'd get some sort of sanction or fine. Stopping SFA FC winning the league.
-
Derek McInnes is my first choice.
If not, I'd like Billy Davies after that documentary that was on about him.
The time and effort he puts into his job is everything a Rangers manager should have.
I think if McCoists at the helm this time next year, we won't be promoted anyway.
-
I think it's still the same, remember there is no names on the back of the shirts until we're back in the SPL.
Didn't Raith wear names on their shirts in the Ramsdens Final?
Remember, Fernando Ricksen wore the No. 2 also. A great gesture to two great players.
-
In the lower leagues you need to be numbered 1-11.
Once we're back to where we belong though I think we should.
I'm not 100% sure bud, but I think it goes back to squad numbers in the Championship.
-
100% agree. John Grieg was voted the greatest ever Ranger. I think in light of recent years Sandy should be awarded that title. Or at least joint with John.
-
With the upmost respect to Sandy. I personally think he'd have wanted it to still go ahead.
He'd have wanted to know where Glasgow Rangers where. Like we all do.
Such a sad night.
-
He's the new Sebo. As much as you'd love him to be a good player and do well. He's just not.

We signed players that are not world class. Its not their fault we signed them. they have came in and done a job to win the league and deserve their day.
Stevie Smith for example never came here as a marque signing, the young lads are not raking it in and these are folk that will be earning less than many posters on here.. If I can get excited for a title win then I see no reason to deny them the joy too.
Not sugar coat it as a great achievement.
But enjoy it for what it is.
Stevie Smith shouldn't have been anywhere near Rangers FC. Waste of money. Same as Foster.
-
i think they do, the objective was win the league & we cantered it by December playing decent football & it's been a training exercise ever since, and painful to watch I admit.

Playing decent football? Your taking the piss, right?

Would hate to lose him we should be building our team around Lewis not shoehorning him in
I agree 100% we should be building round him. Not playing him left mid.
-
If I'm him, the first chance I get I'm off. Under McCoist he's not gonna improve much more.
He's being played out of position constantly and not being allowed to play his game.
Our best games in SFL3 where when him and Hutton played in centre midfield. We won by at least 3-4 goals every game.
-
Hutton and Naismith spent all last year talking about coupons on Twitter.

You won't see silky football in division 3. When that's accepted, fans may lay off Ally a bit. It's 38 scraps not performances and if we're top of that league after 38 scraps then its mission complete for me.
We knew what we where getting into when we screamed for Division 3. Some fans I think forget that.

Great article. What VB do behind the scenes is awesome for our support and culture. When far to many are trying to walk all over us a kick us when we're down!

Valencia's at The Mestalla a couple of seasons ago. Can't remember which one it was but they played some amount of passes before the lad volleyed in to the side netting. As close tithe post almost as it could get.

Our "players"?
Fair enough, worded it wrong. At that time he was though. Who knew what was going to happen.
