  1. the original IS the Billy Boys......that version on 60's vinyl is pish and was made up because the record company didn't want the real version

just make it "up to our knees" in anything you like and it's still the Billy Boys

How about "up to our knees in hypocrisy"

  2. This can be adapted to suit any Rangers player

    Hey, hey (Naisy) uh ah

    I want you to know

    that your the man

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight

    Hey, hey (Naisy) uh ah

    I want you to know

    that your the man

Now, it may not be the best, but it's not going to get anyone into bother, and can be sung at any Rangers player. Imagine 40,000+ in Ibrox singing hey, hey shagger after a brill save. Same as any player scoring.

To push the boundaries a wee bit you could always replace player with (ref) and add (we're pissed off).

    Thoughts!!

  3. I will keep posting this suggestion until the message walter asked of us gets through to the cretins on this forum. We need to do whats right for rangers and be loyal to the club by protecting our reputation always.

Now if anyone has a better idea how to ensure the confidence of our supporters to engage without getting the jail please elaborate

  4. Don't post on here much but do like to keep up to date with all the Rangers news etc. Been reading a lot over the past few days about protests against Lloyds Bank and Mr Muir. I don't know much about financial corporations and there goings on, but I doubt very much they will reveal anything about the present situation until they think the time is right. Protets etc won't change that IMHO.

Instead of protesting against the bank why not make banners in support of Walter Smith and his background team. Things like 'The Loan Ranger - no surrender' or 'Walter, we'll support you evermore'. Get the gist? I'm sure it would be a big boost to Walter and the team to know that every bear appreciates what he's having to cope with and at the same time sends a message to those 'above' that the support is backing Walter to the hilt.

    Thoughts!

  5. Being reported now that it has spread to his lungs, getting very, very serious now.

Hated him as a player, but hope this is one battle he wins for sure.

Good Luck! The same goes to each an every person out there fighting this terrible disease.

Apologies if there is another thread on this but just cant see it.

Yes, good luck John. It's times like these that puts football into perspective.

  6. Ok, we all know that the orange in the Irish tricolour IS orange, not gold, yellow or anything else ;)

Let's remind Timmy of this fact they seem not to know ;)

The Republic of Ireland's flag is made of three equal-sized rectangles of orange, white, and green (this type of flag is called a tricolor). The flag is twice as wide as it is tall. The green side is by the flagpole. This flag was first used in 1848.

The green color on the flag represents the native people of Ireland (most of whom are Roman Catholic). The orange color represents the British supporters of William of Orange who settled in Northern Ireland in the 17th century (most of whom are Protestant). The white in the center of the flag represents peace between these two groups of people.

Come up with an easy-to-remember song that we can belt out in the first Old Firm game of next season.

Something short and sweet that nails it on the head :)GO !!

    The green is for plastics

    the white for unity

    the orange is for William

    get it right up ye!!!

  7. 0-0 against a lower division side with 40 minutes gone and this is frantic Rangers dugout...(cam phone image :()

    post-8056-1231880570_thumb.jpg

possibly due to the fact that the Rangers dugout isn't peopled by complete panic-merchants.

You don't think this (and the state of the club) is worthy of panic?

No I don't. I'm old enough to have lived through real bad spells with Rangers.......our current position is worlds away from the John Greig managerial era. And 0-0 after 40mins away from home to the probable 1st Division champions is hardly a disaster, given we almost always play better in the 2nd half of games.

Can't be watching the same game as me mate. Absolute fcuking pish

  8. Grow up son. And toughen up! If you get this upset at your little ditty getting the brush off you will never last the pace on any serious point. Oh and while we are at it calling names is also a pretty weak way to get your argument over.

The point is that until this idiot opened his gob not one of you gave any thought to singing this little ditty. The responses I received proves that point. In my book that amounts to hypocracy. Argument over.

  9. On 27 Nov I posted a wee song for the Gers fans to sing on 27 Dec and it was laughed/ridiculed off the board. At one point I was accused of being 'one of them' and had problems if I was over 7!!!

Fast forward to 20 Dec and some half-wit comes out with the sectarian connotations to the Hokey Cokey and bingo, it's now the best song ever!!! Will someone please explain why it is now top of the song sheet for Saturday, you all claim that sectarianism/bigotry don't come into this. I beg to differ and the responses to my post proves the point, one thing is definite though, you are HYPOCRITES!!!!!!

Please have a look at the original post in my profile. Some apologies wouldn't go amiss either!!!!

  10. Just trying to come up with something to really rile the septic and at the same time be non-controversial, offensive etc. They can hardly complain and at the same time it is a complete piss take, in my opinion.

Youll be touching a raw nerve with that one mate

 I think we just stick to the facts: Paedophilia, BJK, cover-ups, denial, mopery, plastic-paddyness and potatoes ;)

    Ok, if you say so.

  11. My dad died over 25yrs ago and I still have to this day his Aye Ready badge and a glass tankard from the winning side in the Scottish Cup and League Cup 1962. The tankard is engraved with both trophies and the players names. The winning squad was:-

    Willie Ritchie

    Bobby Shearer

    Eric Caldow

    Ron McKinnon

    Doug Baillie

    Harry Davis

    Ian McMillan

    Billy Henderson

    Davy Wilson

    Jim Baxter

    Ralph Brand

    Alex Scott

    Jim Miller

    Scot Simon (Manager)

    Davie Kinnear (Trainer)

    What a team!!!!

  12. Just received this joke. Thought I would share it with you. Apologies if it has already been posted.

A wee Glasgow Jew wisnae allowed to join the Celtic Supporters Club because he had been circumsized - apparently you need to be a complete dick to support them.

  13. Here goes - what do you all think?

We're all going to the match today

To cheer the boys in blue

    We'll stand there together

    Loyal, proud and true

For all the bears that ever there was

Will gather there for certain because

Today's the day we'll give the * a humping. (or depending on the score today's the day we gave the *)

*hearts, 'well, hibs, hearts, killie etc etc

    or

Put your Gers top on, your scarf of blue

Wer'e all loyalists, what the f**** are you

We do the Bouncy Bouncy and shout out loud

We're the best team in the land

    Oh Bouncy Bouncy

    Oh Bouncy Bouncy

    Oh Bouncy Bouncy

The best team in the land

Comments please - don't be too harsh!!!!!

  14. My first outing to Ibrox in 1958, as a seven year old, saw Rangers v Morton. Score if I remember correctly was 5 - 0. I will never forget that day, never been anywhere with such excitement etc and supported the Gers to this day. Haven't been to a game since Scottish Cup Final against Celtic when we lost. Anyway, was trying to remember the team that day way back in 1958.

    Ritchie

    Shearer

    Caldow

    Greig

    McKinnon

    Baxter

    Henderson

    Forrest

    Miller

    Brand

    Wilson

Is this correct? Thanks for any help with this.

No you're way off there. This is more the 63 side.

I started watching the Gers also around 1958 and from what I remember it was Niven Shearer Little or Caldow, McColl Paterson Stevenson, Scott, McMillan ,Max Murray or Millar, Sammy Baird. and Wilson or Bobby Hume.

Bill Paterson made way for Doug baillie and then McKinnon. Stevenson the left half went to Liverpool when Baxter appeared. Alex Scott played for Scotland but lost his right wing place to Henderson and transferred to Everton. Even Davie Wilson may have come in a bit later, I just missed seeing Johnny Hubbard play.

Funny, I can't remember what I did last week.

Thanks for replying. I do seem to have got players etc mixed up but I was only seven at the time. Never mind I was fortunate enough to see some of the greats like Baxter, Henderson, Greig playing. Another of my early memories was league cup replay against Celtic when Kai Johansson scored the only goal. Great stuff.
