He's just not a very good keeper.

I think  technically he is the best goalkeeper in the league.

He's alert ,pretty agile and comfortable with the ball at his feet.

Maybe he hasn't the head for it but far better than ,Hamilton,Clark ,fox Bain, Cerny,Lewis etc.

I think we are looking more like the team mentally that was around when Ally was there . So not nice being part of that

If Alnwick is anything  like his brother  Ben ,he will be a waste if space.

    Hopefully that's not the case

Aye, because it's his fault, we've got a fucking awful defence and midfield ahead of him.

The boy's spared us so much embarrassment this season.

It is a bit of a schoolboy error to play the Ball out through the  middle   to a player with his back to play , whether he asks for it or not.

The player should always have  his body open with a view of  what's in front of him when receiving a ball.

Third goal was the sucker punch. Defensively shocking.

I don't think Barton was as bad as people are saying. He was left so isolated in the first half.

Kranjcar should never have started. He's been a defensive liability since he's been here. No idea how MW thinks he could do the work in an away OF derby. Halliday should've started all day. You know what it means to him and you can guarantee he would get stuck in.

We started relatively well but we still aimed to sit back and counter attach. How can possibly counterattack in an effective manner with a 36 year old in a wide area? I know he set up the goal but O'Halloran or Forrester should started wide.

In my opinion it's down to the management MW genuinely believes that we can outscore anyone

There's far poorer teams in this league that haven't and won't be stuffed against Celtic.

He has Poor organisation and doesn't know how to re adjust the team when it goes pear-shaped.

Sometimes there has to be damage limitation

He will be under so much pressure now after today's tonking and he will bottle I. .

Wes for me and he now is very comfortable with the ball at his feet.

I think this season we will see if Wes is any good or not , I'll hold judgement.

To date Definitely improved his footwork but too casual for me.

Warburton has no doubt suggested various defensive options to the board. The biggest problem is we probably don't have the money to buy most of them and any that we can afford will not be allowed to leave their clubs. I'm sure MW and DW will come up with a solution.

Warburton for me is too pig headed to go against his own beliefs that attack is the best form of defense.

It's blatantly obvious that we will see many games  his season when we have An offday and concede more than we score.

Had a discussion with a few fellow bears at work on Friday and only myself said we will win the league. What is the view of RM?

We have brought in guys who do not accept failure and are shrewd operators. With the football we played last season, the added steel and experience (which were the lacking elements v HIVs), the new drive for Foderingham, lessons learnt and the feverish support, we WILL win this league.

    And of course, Kenny Miller!

Ide be surprised if we can do it this season

Big test for the  players but a bigger one for the gaffer. As I dobut he will get away with the same cavalier style of p!ay.

A couple of great signings Di dar but definitely need to shore up the defence .

I'm sure  Wes will have a lot more to do  this season be interesting to see how he fairs.

Should be an exciting and enjoyable season regardless

I honestly don't know what to say to you. I'm struggling for words.

I'm not disputing that Foderingham has had some howlers, but to compare it to Bell is incredibly unfair.

Foderingham's worst in a meaningless game at Easter Road came three days after he had played a significant part in us winning the Old Firm game and a week after he has assisted us in securing our return to the SPL. Add to that, the Perrofac Cup.

Bell's came at Fir Park in what can only have been described at the time as a hugely important fixture.

I think you've had enough internet for today. Log-off.

Bell has made very few mistakes in the games he's played albeit his mistake in the playoffs is one of the worst I've ever seen

It's irrelevant if there is anything at stake in a game or not there's not a  player that would want to embarrass himself in anyway

Not sure what kind of narrow minded imbiscile you are but wake up and smell the roses

Despite your praise for fodderingham I would be very surprised If he's first choice next season in fact I'll be putting me bet on it

    Goodnight sleep tight

I'm as disappointed as the next Bear with this result and our recent form, but in most polite manner, some people need to fuck right off.

Are my eyes playing tricks on me, or did someone above suggest that Lee Robinson was a better goalkeeper than Wes Foderingham?

Foderingham could have scored two own goals with his own throw today; the game was so meaningless, I couldn't have cared less.

I'll tell you when I cared; when he ever so slightly tipped Griffiths' free-kick onto the bar with the tip of his index finger in the last minute of the semi-final at Hampden. Or when Scott Brown stepped up to take his penalty.

Come the 21st of May, the cream will rise to the top as it always does when it matters.

Yes, I was gutted to lose to Livingston, drop points at home to Alloa and again this afternoon, but the reality is that we did and the fact are that it doesn't matter. We've became lax and as much as we like to believe that you can afford that as a Rangers player, we also never thought that people like Naismith and Davis, wee bluenoses who grew-up to be Ibrox idols, would fuck us over, but hey hoe, as I said, that's reality.

Big Wes has saved a lot of you sore necks this season by sticking to Warburton's instructions and distributing the ball to feet as opposed to punting it up the park. For a young man who's gone from playing in the lower leagues of England to 50,000 fans, I'd say he's handled the anxiety shown by half of Ibrox when he's closed down quiet well.

    We are the fucking people.

No your eyes are fine ,I didn't day he was A better keeper  fodderingham has made more blatant mistakes(howler)  than any  of the keepers mentioned  fact.

Not to mention his recent cammyesque one

    Not good enough I'm afraid

Maybe Think about It and read properly before posting

Priorities need to be new keeper, two new centre backs and a defensive midfielder

The only keeper who I  Can't recall making a howler in the last 2 seasons was Lee Robinson who was one of mccalls scape goats in last seasons run in

Imo was far better than simonsen , bell and fodderingham and tidy with his feet too.

  10. I agree that he gave 100% and cared. Indont think anyone would dispute his having a good character. Just not a good enough footballer. Unfortunate as he was a very likeable guy but such is life.

"Best of a bad bunch" Doesn't say much for the rest of the team , bearing in mind half of them are still here and playing.

I honestly think that of all if last years team had been out of contract the lot would have gone.

  11. Haha. You know the meltdown is complete when people start questioning the sale of Darren McGregor. Part of the worst Rangers side ever.

I agree as a unit they were poor, but having said that there's not one of last years players that couldn't be playing in the current team

We have laws sheils mc kay Wallace Miller who were all poor last season all figuring in this years team/squad.

By the same token you could have put any of the new boys into last years team without getting any improvement whatsoever.

  12. Warburton arrived as manager over the summer, and despite starting his Ibrox career in excellent style, he has told the Evening Times that there is still a danger that faces Rangers.

Warburton said: The fans have been great but thats a danger for us, they might revert to type and encourage us to hit it long. So we need to be wary off the fans losing patience and if they do that puts a lot of pressure on the young players.

Rangers have won every Championship game so far this season, sitting pretty at the top of the league, and only losing one game in all competitions - against Premiership opposition.

However, now that performances have been so impressive, there is the sense that they will have to retain those levels so as not to disappoint the fans.

If the Gers are to start a game and go a goal behind early on, the Ibrox crowd could struggle to get behind their players, and these nerves could transfer over to the playing squad, creating even worse form.

Success breeds expectation, and these expectations may be too hard to live up to, finally ending with a potential collapse by a playing squad which is exceptionally young and filled with players with little first-team experience.

Warburton wants to see the Rangers fans continue to back their squad regardless of the situation, and if they continue to show the kind of support they have in the opening weeks of this campaign, the Gers are sure to continue playing the exceptional football that they have been.

We should definitely keep those wise words from the gaffer in mind and support the team no matter what faces us

I don't see a problem in building up play from defence through to attack , but when you are a goal behind and time is running out theres git to be urgency shown .

If that means a long ball that's fine its the law if averages get enough balls in the box and you will as score

  13. Big Waghorn has scored more goals than hibs ???????????

Just looking at social media there and the big man looks chuffed along with the other players who seem genuinely happy for him.

I didn't realise he had letters after his name waghorn pen ?

  14. Ps. Balls over the top are a direct effect of a high defensive line, it has been said numerous times we will concede due to our style of play I don't understand why thats hard to fathom to some.

I think last night's game showed the niavity of the team optimised by the the 2nd and third goals.

No doubt that we will win the league but there will be some tough games ahead now that we've been beaten and quite easily too.

  15. Were the contracts cancelled by mutual consent or did they take a % of contract to leave? Hearing conflicting statements so would like to know. Cheers

I am sure they would have had there contracts bought out meaning there would have been a settlement figure.

Big question is who next , Bell will be on very good wage and may well be surplus to requirements if there's no intention to use him.

He's been very unfortunate with injuries over the last couple of Seasons so he must have had best wage/appearance money at the club
