  1. Out of curiosity, is there a place in the VB for someone who isn't a Unionist, a Monarchist, and not interested in defending traditions such as the Orange Order?

Are there many on your forum that don't stand for these things?

    Yes , debate is healthy

but given that almost 100% of the board believe in the Union , The Crown and the Protestant Faith, most agitators don't last long

  2. I told you, I have no interest in defending Dingwall. I would say that it's more than a little contradictory for VB to proclaim themselves to be defenders of traditions and the support and then, in the same post, attempt a character assassination of one of our own.

There are things included in the original post that VB can rightly be proud of and things than no-one, least of all me, can do anything but praise and congratulate VB for. The quasi-political and religious undertones do nothing but alienate the very large (and it's larger than some people might care to admit) section of the support who have no interest in such things and see Rangers as a football club. If VB really are the defenders of all Rangers fans then surely alienating such a large section of the support makes no sense?

you do know that being atheist doesn't make you right on with the Catholics don't you? they hate you just as much as they hate us ( if the fact is you are actually an atheist)

so the OP isn't actually contradictory

and it really isn't such a large section of the support offline

  3. FF has more because it's the biggest site. There are cliques, self interest and division on this site too, probably other Rangers sites as well.

Anyway, I have no interest in defending Dingwall, I just don't think it was necessary to include either him or Follow Follow in the original post.

then you didn't really understand the Op did you?

  4. The William McBeath thread on FF got hooked, remember this was a tribute to one of our founders. Regardless of who was behind the tribute, Rangers fans have a right to see the good work that has been done. Unfortunately the powers that be hooked it

do you know it was hooked?

Do you know that a few days ago EVERY (as in every thread in the history of the bear-pit) thread got hooked? are you further aware that every thread between all those threads disapearing and today also got hooked? Was that thread hooked individually or did it disapear amongst the hundereds of others that also disappeared?

I dont, btw, im jut not jumping to conclusions.

NL, it was my thread and it got hooked at my request. I was not happy with a thread which wouldn't allow credit to be given to those who achieved this magnificent gesture.

  5. When BBC Radio Scotland's Abeer McIntyre on Newsdrive read out the e-mail, "half human half animal embryos are nothing new, they've been attending Ibrox for over a hundred years", the BBC apologised and claimed the show's Producer had failed in his responsibilities. Similarly, with Richard Gordon's, "Edinburgh Zoo have accepted the transfer of Rangers player Fili Sebo, they plan to exhibit him". It was the Producer who okayed it.

While rather personal, these insults are hardly examples of serious bias or outrageous attacks upon Rangers Football Club, are they? The first is actually quite funny, dare I say. I just wish one of us had thought of it!

Kenny MacIntyre (husband of Abeer) is almost certainly a Rangers fan as well, for what it's worth.

In isolation it may be a comment open to interpretation, but added to th elong list of insults and the whole one sided nature of the insults it is unacceptable.

  6. It wasn,t just Miller; Novo came over to ask to be taken off.He was waved back on although it was obvious he could hardly move. Five minutes later the three stooges are standing deep in thought/discussion even though Little had been warming up for over 40 minutes. Eventually the substitution was made but like earlier this season un needed damage to an injured player through indecision when the option was obvious.

I was more angry about NOVO tbh

At one point he signalled to go off and Mccoist sends him on his way. The boy could hardly run!

  7. His lies and vile hatred of all things Rangers and Presbyterian will remain in print and online long after he is gone. They need to be stopped.

The petition does call for him to be banned from Ibrox. And I have written previously to the Times to complain.

I do not post on here, but do look in from time to time. i post under the same name on VB and FF.

  8. i have posted before in other forums on this.

    To chose or be chosen.

My family were not into football much. So i wasn't born a Ranger, possibly born to be a Ranger.

But as i started to develop an interest in football, and I started to pester the folks to go to games it was always Ibrox I wanted to go to ( my only previous visit was for a Junior cup final between Blantyre Vics and the losing side!)

I argue that to wake every day and CHOOSE to be a supporter was harder than " because my dad was"

Now I am not knocking the family tradition at all, it is to be commended and If I'm honest I stopped choosing many many years ago, I couldn't ever be anything else. I hate watching football as a neutral.

But there is more than one path which leads to being part of the Rangers family and all those paths should be equally embraced
