CELTC SH*TE NEWS – Celtc News, Not Lazy Journalism
Celtic request split explanation
Celtc Football Club has demanded an explanation for the “disgraceful, unjustified and bigoted” split that has just been announced. A spokesman stated: “therr is simply no rational explanation and it is so unferr, so it is.” The entire Celc community is up in arms and have convinced themselves, each other, and no-one else, that it is all a pyoor Masonic conspiracy.
Peter Raffleyerself, spokesworm for the Greater Diaspora of Cltc Minded Sympathisers, burst into tears and sobbed uncontrollably: “The split is a monumental miscarriage of justice – to split up Anthea Turner and Grant Bovey and put them into difference teams in Hell’s Kitchen is not right, and someone is going to pay. So therr.”
Unsporting Wing fans rush to Hawking’s bedside
The green and white third of Glasgow are not slow on jumping on bandwagons. So it is no surprise that they have rallied around for the ailing Professor Stephen Hawking.
“The Prof is one of our own” commented Poops fans’ chief, Reilly O’Seamus. “His mother once visited Cork for a long weekend, so he really is ‘of the Diaspora’, and dear to all our hearts, so we wish him well.
Poops’ Chairwarlord, Sir John Dignity Reid KGB CNUT commented: “If the worst should happen between now and the 8th of May, everyone will be aware that the match against Rangers must, absolutely must, be called off. There is no way that Ra Poops can play a game of football when one of our very own has passed away. It has nothing to do with Broon0.9’s unavailability and everything to do with unsporting integrity. And if the good Prof survives, I’m calling on someone, anyone, everyone that’s ever drank a Bushmills to consider doing the honourable thing and laying down your life for Ra Poops. Because we’re sh*tting ourselves”
Sellik comment on Post Split Sphincters
Sellik Chief Executive, Pedro Liewell, has demanded to know which DOB at the SPL made up the split sphincters. Having borrowed an abacus from FD Eric O’Riley (aka Eric Riley when he lived his entire life as a staunch Bluenose), Liewell has worked out how the sphincters should have fallen:
John Reid playing away with Dawn Primarolo
Jim Torbett at home with Alan Brazil
Jock Stein away with the physio’s wife
Green Brigade refuse to apologise for likening Celtic to the IRA
That bastion of upside down protest, ǝpɐbıɹq uǝǝɹb ǝɥʇ (not to be confused with any IRA grouping that uses the word ‘brigade’) unveiled their latest masterpiece (sic.) recently – a Banner painted to vaguely resemble a brick wall with the slogan “Ooh Aah up the Celts”.
A gunslinging, bombthrowing spokesman for ǝpɐbıɹq uǝǝɹb ǝɥʇ stated that there was absolutely no connection between the banner and the oft-spouted-at-the-piggery slogan “Ooh Aah up the ‘Ra”. Any similarities are said to be pyoor coincidence and are more reflective of the mind of the reader than of the artist. “I mean”, he said, “Celts doesn’t even sound like ‘Ra”.

The Botanical Truth Fairy returned the favour during the 2003 summer of love.
Excellent post cov.
Was that around the same time that the occupant of Chez-Daphne was trying to break into Chez-Dorothy ?
To find Matt lying prostrate, cheeks asunder, would have been an unexpected, but delicious, bonus for Daphne.
A Daphne, Matt and Dorothy ménage à trois - the fat yin, the fenian, and the fairy.

They all live in a country that they hate
Why do Plastics wait
In a country that they hate ?
We all live in a country that we love
Blessed from up above
For a country that we love.
We all live in a country that we love
Blessed from up above
For a country that we love.
repeat ad infinitum ...
Gets over the same point as another well known ditty, but we'd be untouchable on it. And they'd be apoplectic. Which is good.

You have asserted that it was not properly called.
The onus is on you to justify your allegation.
They (or at least some) were posted on Friday 22nd August.
-
In what way was it not properly convened?
If you are a member and didn't get notice report it to the FSA....
What day did you get your notice ?
What day were they posted ? I think we should be told.

Don't be an arse. Perhaps if you could put your issues aside and advise the RST as a non board member you'd help an organization that represents a diminishing number of bears. Just a thought.
Rules - who needs them, eh ?! Especially when they are only regulated by the poxy Financial Services Authority
The meeting on Saturday has not been properly convened, although that is unlikely to be of concern to the commander in chief.
-
Why did they break their own Rules by not giving proper notice of the meeting as prescribed by their constitution ?
In any properly run organisation, the Secretary's head would roll for that.
Mind you, he wouldn't be the only board member leaving this week.

Great guy and done well for us in his limited time here, but 33 with questionable fitness
Are you talking about 'contacts' ?
His fitness is more than questionable!!!!

Oleg Kuznetsov against St Mirren in 1990. A pure masterclass - he absolutely strolled that game.

Not in my world. Normal and sensible business practice would be to sit down at the outset with a potential buyer and find out their overall plans to take the club forward. Then, if you like what you hear, you then start financial negotiations.
What exactly would be "normal and sensible business practice" in your world ? What would you know about negotiating the sale of a PLC ? When was the last such sale "in your world" where you employed "normal and sensible business practice" ?
Or did you just make that up ?
:harhar: I know enough that I wouldn't have one of my senior executives waste 'months' negotiating with someone who I hadn't checked met my main criterion. But hey, maybe you know best.
As you didn't answer any of my questions, perhaps you did just make up the post referring to "normal and sensible business practice" in your world.
How much time did Donald Wilson actually spend on the deal ?
How much information were the prospective buyers willing to divulge prior to the completion meeting ?
Was SDM hoping to smoke out others by going along with the deal ?
etc.
You can't answer any of these questions yet you feel qualified to state that SDM didn't follow "normal and sensible business practice". As Tom English puts it: "all the big picture view of Mr Magoo".

Gave up playing when I was about 22/23.
How time flies. Didn't realise you'd been out the game for 20 years.

Still a long, long way to go but looks like Gazza is making some progress. Keep it going, genius.

Where is all the money?
Walter's aquisitions since he returned have put the wages bill up substantially. If you spend money on wages, you don't have that same money for transfer fees.
-
Just interested in how much of a profit we made last season thats all....
Last year's accounts were signed off on 30 July 2007.
How much profit do you think we made ?
poss as much as 15 mil bearing in mind the euro run and huttons transfer....
What have you factored in for increased wages costs and amortisation ?

You certainly are, very few human beings have the power of prophecy.
Any chance of helping me with Wednesday's Lottery?
Who said anything about being human ?
And the Bonus Ball will be 32.

Is he a better player? Yes
Can he lead the Rangers attack? Yes
Will he score consistently? No
Will he even play consistently? Yes
What's his best position? Lone striker in Europe, 1 of 2 up front in easier games
How does he fit into our system? Runs the channels, pressurises defenders, plays others in
How will he handle the supporter criticism? No problem
Can the fans put aside their differences with the player when he has a bad game? Hopefully
Not a world beater, not remotely close. But not the worst signing ever. Let's concentrate on the positives.

Perhaps I am in a minority but I am excited by the new season approaching, I know we will win the league, I trust in Walter, and I expect Kenny Miller to be a success.
To suggest Miller was a 'failure' the first time round is a little harsh. And now he is a Rangers player again he will have my full support on the pitch - some may boo him, some will be silent, but I will cheer him.
Maybe one man's optimism is another man's short-sighted stupidity.
In which case, I'm Mr Stupid. Where's my glasses .......

Supporters Direct have issued a paper regarding the conduct of elections by Trusts that are members of SD:
http://www.supporters-direct.org/downloads...estPractice.pdf
Some of the issues are "Required" and some are merely "Recommended" as best practice.
The RST appear to have broken several of the "Required" rules, for instance by not indicating on the nomination notice how many people will be elected, the procedure to be followed, the complaints procedure, or by not requiring a statement from candidates. There are several other examples of "Required" rules apparently not having been followed.
If the RST wish to remain a member of Supporters Direct perhaps they should follow SD's rules.

I know exactly what he meant based on previous posts about bigotry. I care not a jot weather you believe that or not.
I don't want to rain on your parade sun, but you're just full of wind. :beer2:
-
I have no idea, I have seen him at Ibrox on a couple of occasions.
That'll be about right.
He does however put a lot of time in to the RST.I spend a lot of time playing loud music in my garden. But the world would be a better place if I didn't.
-
He's a passionate Rangers fan willing to give up time and effort for what he feels is the best interests for the club.
Remind me how many home matches he was at last season and how many he was, eh, elsewhere. And of those home matches, at how many did he see kickoff? Or does he prefer making money to following Rangers?
And how many away league matches did he go to last season? Or the season before? Or the season ...... It's not like he would be hard to miss. Come on, surely he goes to the odd one or two ? No ?
What do you mean he's really a rugby man and doesn't follow the football much?
-
I have no idea.
Why don't you ask them.
I have never met ANYONE that thinks we should consider withdrawing players from Internationals or not playing in the cup.
And I've never met ANYONE who has met ANYONE who thinks we should.
Surely Dingwall's Dozen aren't telling lies to the members ?

SPL ditch Setanta - 2009/10 matches WILL NOT be on Setanta -
Setanta today notified the Scottish Premier League that it is unable to make the outstanding payment of £3 million to the SPL.
Lex Gold, Executive Chairman of the SPL, said: “Setanta has been unable to meet our extended deadline for the outstanding £3 million payment to the SPL and, in terms of the notice previously issued, our British broadcasting rights for season 2009/10 and beyond revert to us.
“We are now actively engaging in the process of selling our domestic broadcasting rights for next season and beyond."
