  1. That will be the user Gillster, he's always there selling those bands to earn a wee bit extra on top of his dole money for gear at the weekend.

Yes, it was me. They're called BadBoy bands and I'm selling them to help raise awareness for a Rangers addict support group called 'Crapforumadmin.com.
  2. There was a point when McCann was just as important to us as Gazza and Laudrup. He was setting them up, scoring, and was an absolute menace in attack. That period didn't last but the fact he could reach that level of performance at times tells its own story. Will always be grateful to him for winning the league at the piggery.

Spot on mate, was going to say the same. I've been watching a lot of our Advocat era games on YouTube recently (since 6 days in between watching us in our current form is too long) and it reminded me how important he was for us. He brought his A game to all the big games v Celtic and in Europe, just quality.

But I agree with the OP, or at least know what he meant when he said perhaps he was underrated because he's not really mentioned As much as Laudrup, de Boer, Mols or Gazza etc. when we talk of the great players we had at the time. Just my opinion though.

  3. I'm a fan of King, but seriously don't know why he had to bring this up now, just as we have moved on, and now getting more exposure for our news on the park rather than the boardroom!

But this is my outlook from all of this....

    1. The mhanky press want to stir things up, not content that their headlines have dried up. Ignore them and any fhuckwit responses that come our way. We are Rangers and always will be, don't let them get to us. We know the truth.

    2. Be happy in the knowledge that those that damaged us in the first place will pay. I do trust King on this matter, we just have to be patient.

    3. We have a man with a magic hat that has put together a team and a plan that will destroy anything on the park. Let our football do the talking. We are on our way back. Don't let anything ruin our enjoyment of THE most exciting thing to happen to us in too long.

    4. Don't forget We Are The People! Fuck the rest.

  4. No, no, no. You blatantly don't understand the definition option of "contradiction" and, as with my post you quoted, I'm having to deal with more generic, moronic garbage.

I won't lose sleep and I'm not offended, as I said at the beginning, however... I don't think it's fitting for two players to piss about in an official club photo.

I don't think it's fitting of a Rangers' supporter to have an avatar of a priest kissing a young celtic fan on the head either. Given you're OP, I think you are obsessed. Funny how we always call the Celtic obsessed, well maybe we should think of our own mindset first. Secondly, I don't really want to see that image every time I see something from you posted on here.

  5. I'll take 3-0! Keep winning, that's what matters most. I thought Livingston played out of their skins today, they were very quick, didn't give us time on the ball, they countered very well, they were unlucky not to get a goal today and thanks to Wes, they didn't.

So 3-0, when we didn't play great and the opposition had a stormer, can't complain at all.

No disrespect for Dave Smith, Barcelona Bear and legend, but RTV please don't invite him to commentate again.

  6. Would anyone else much rather hear from Mr. Warburton than our chairman?

I appreciate he will have to come out every now and again, but there were a few things yesterday that I really could have done without. McCoist being welcomed back into the the directors box as "that's where he belongs" and the whole Scott Allan stuff, we've all moved on. Personally, I could give less of a shit about what went on and I don't see the benefit of bringing it back up. The five player thing as well, deal with that when the time comes. The bravado is not welcome.

Compare and contrast that to Mark Warburton who's press conferences are increasingly more interesting every single week. He spent a section of it today talking about analysis!! It's an absolute pleasure to listen to what he thinks about football and the direction he is taking us.

For me, that's all I'm interested in just now, football. We've had years of bullshit, I can't be bothered with more of it. Maybe I'm being a tad dramatic but it seems to happen every time Dave King comes out for his bi-monthly visit.

Can't please everyone. You either want more communication and transparency from the Chairman and board or you don't. Personally, I'm glad to hear from DK, how the overall plan for our club is going, what's still to be addressed. I think most supporters are the same, either that or there's a lot of contradictions amongst our ranks.

  7. I think having an owner who values our past is very much a good thing and long overdue ... you can rest assured though he will do the right thing for the business and the club if you doubt that look at how protracted the takeover was because he wanted the money to go into the club and not crooks pockets

Great point, not often raised. Good to remind folk of that. Great post!

  8. I don't know why people are getting their knickers in a twist over this. Decent question from the OP about who we would envisage being the strongest 6 from our squad, based on what we've seen so far, that could hold down a regular place in the SPL.

MW said that any new players that come in would have to add enormous value and have skills that we currently don't have, rather add numbers for the sake of it. Therefore, I would guess that we'd be looking out for players that would take a place in a regular line up against the best in SPL, so Celtic, Aberdeen, Hearts perhaps.

Some already understood that question and said e.g. Back 4, McKay and Waggy. Some debated that Halliday would also be there.

Don't know why everyone else is getting in a tizzy.

  9. Scotland has the world's best traveling supporters, especially Rangers, so I'm sure a good few on here have travelled far and wide. Which football stadiums or sports grounds have you been to outside Scotland (to follow Rangers or just to see a local game) and what was your favorite? It would be good to hear some stories.

Thinks this covers all the ones I've been to if my memory serves me correctly, mostly down South, just a handful abroad.

    Wembley

    Twickenham

    Old Trafford

    Stamford Bridge

    Selhurst Park

    Craven Cottage

    Loftus Road

    Griffin Park

    Upton Park

    Highbury

    The Den

    Cardiff Arms Park

    Millennium Stadium

    San Siro

    BJK Inonu Stadium (Besiktas)

    MCG Melbourne

    Colonial Stadium Melbourne

San Siro was the most awesome, got to say. It's just mammoth - and about twice the height of Ibrox - at least felt that way when you stand outside and look up. But have a big soft spot for the old Highbury, which reminded me of Ibrox in a way.

  10. Listened again to King's interview "Alastair was right to ENFORCE his contract" plus "he (Ally) brought to my attention a number of points regarding contracts and the labour law that I was unaware of"

In other words because of a badly constructed contract he had Rangers over a barrel and screwed them royally.

Hate, no, Respect, NEVER a charlatan of a man.

I'm sure Celtic fans love the fact that 'we' have ostracized one of our best ever players and one that so often broke their hearts. FFS, we should be protecting our own (despite what you may feel about the terms of his contract).

  11. He's burnt his bridges at Rangers now. Will be thought of in the same way as Naismith and Co.

Never expected that level of greed from McCoist, Sad how you can put money before everything else.

No he's not. Did you hear DK earlier? He's welcome back, he's a legend. You alone (and the other haters on here) are NOT Rangers FC, you don't speak for Rangers, obviously.
