  1. Aston Villa captain Gareth Barry will hold talks with manager Martin O'Neill about the club's ambitions before deciding on his future.

The England midfielder has attracted interest from Champions League semi-finalists Liverpool and Chelsea.

"I have to look at myself now and be selfish in what I want to do," he said.

"I'm 27, and the next two or three years will be the peak of my career. I think I can still improve and if I moved, it's got to be about ambition."

Barry, who has spent most of his career at Villa, has two years left on his current contract and the prospective lure of Champions League football could be too hard to resist.

"I can't sit here and say I haven't been paid well over the last 10 years," he added. "Anything I do now would have to be the right thing for my career."

How important is Barry to Villa?

Villa boss Martin O'Neill says he is desperate to hold on to the versatile Barry and talks between the pair will have a key influence on the player's decision.

Barry wants to know the plans O'Neill has in place to bolster the squad at the Midlands club as he weighs up his chances of winning some silverware with Villa.

He said: "Does the squad need massive additions? I think it probably does especially if you look at the players who are probably going to be leaving.

"The squad is pretty low in numbers at the moment - and you see the likes of Olof Mellberg, a great international player, leaving the club.

"There are a couple more out of contract (Thomas Sorensen and Patrik Berger) that are going to be moving on.

"That is going to leave us even thinner in terms of numbers.

"I would have thought the manager was looking at a lot of numbers coming in and not just any old numbers but quality numbers to add to the ones we've already got here.

"Is that what I want to talk to Martin O'Neill about? Yes, it would be. I assume it would have been discussed anyway.

"I would have been talking to him anyway as captain, to see where the club is heading and what we've achieved this year and what we want to achieve next year. Things like that will be spoken about

  2. hiya mate welcome to the board i think Hutton moved too early in my opinion. We should have waited till the summer and i also think he'd be better suited to Man United's style of playing football.

Congratulations on humping Chelsea in the league Cup as well btw

  3. 100, 000, and we are dividing the current season tickett revenue by 100,000 instead of 60,000 this way we guarantee to sell the season tickets as they will be dirt cheap. this brings in an extra 40, 000 punters to put money behind the bars and buy the raffle tickets etc.....perfect for the cheap season tickets for the fans, as well as the club gaining more revenue in the long run....and plus publicity of having a stadium like that.........soo....watch out PL.....JPR21 is in town
