  1. Aye mate the user Quinty has 4 spare

Not quite 15 but a good starter

Can u point him in my direction as I don't post much on here.....seemed a good idea at the time running a bus but it has been a fuckin nightmare for tickets!!!

  2. Was it Millsy with the ginger hair that jumped about with Greig with the glasses, a guy called Keith, Brian Tollan and that ?

No mate that's a different Millsy from Spingburn but I know who you are talking about.

Anyone who went to Europe from the late eighties well into the 2000's would have seen his smiley mischievous face having a ball everywhere he went bringing joy to everyone around him.

  3. Just wanted to give a special mention to a dear friend of mine who passed away suddenly yesterday whilst being at work.

The world will be lesser place without him being here and the Rangers family has lost one of its greatest ever fans.

I will never forget the way he took me under his wing in my younger years and took me all over Britain and Europe and looked out for me and many others for that matter every week in life.

    RIP wee man.

  4. where was it he said that ?

and which lines are you reading between ?

if he wants regular first team football who can blame him !

    good luck to the guy

Brother is always hearing about him slagging off others players and the like and from the snippets I've heard from these conversations is that he thinks he is abig time Charlie at times

But from my own point of view he hasn't played well this season so far and I think his body language on the park has been pretty poor at times.

  5. Rumour

Spent first half next to a well known Bridgeton guy who says he's going down to put in a transfer request tomorrow - he knows his family ( that parts a fact

Apparently McCoist isn't using wingers anymore

    Take it or leave

    Cue any abuse

    Just sharing

If he's wrong cue the "I told you posts"

    Bla

Won't go as far as saying a transfer request due to the transfer window but he has stated if things don't change in the next few weeks he will ask away in January.

Again same kind of source as my brothers runs about with one of his best mates.

Reading between the lines he seems to have a bit of an attitude problem as I hear he's always moaning about others but maybe if he applied himself more during games jd wouldn't have this problem.

  6. The one off bills and purchases are the key here.

    Edmiston house. How much?.........

    Car park. How much?.........

    Football debts. How much?.........

Over 13 months we had a loss of 14m. Remove those figures and what are left with?

    Losing 1m a month?

Yet some "fans" still listen to the pape...ers... and the BeastBC?

Tell me then how much where they and what is the figure left?

  7. Andy McKellar from Copland Road was at the meeting and he posted the following report on their site:

The question was then asked of our current bank balance and reports of disappearing IPO money. Our financial director responded, "Yes, we raised £22 million. It’s not true that we have £7 million in the bank. Audited accounts will be out in mid-September and they will show that we have £10 million in the account. The Club is not in financial distress."

Stockbridge though soon began to evade questions and was unable to provide an answer on the composition of our £10 million in the bank in terms of season-ticket income and IPO cash. We were told that "It goes into the same pot of money. We can’t distinguish between the two."

So didn't you get an answer?

So how did the press get that information 3 days later then???

And what type of company can't distinguish between 2 pots of money going into the one bank account.

If that's the case how do they know where the money is coming in and going out from and what are the real running costs of the company.

And you don't think we're being badly run!!!!!

  8. The destruction or badly attempted destruction is your lots department, thank the Lord they are hopeless at it. (tu)

You still haven't answer any of the seven questions I posed to you earlier but I guess you are just burying your head in the sand as usual or you are not very good at maths !!!

I await your reply which will probably be a bit of slagging as usual but no idea of what is actually happening here.

Are you not supposed to be making your own argument instead of destroying them.

  10. Of all the comments that may wind someone up I am staggered you have a problem with that.

I assume you have misunderstood me. It is far too simplistic to decide that there are two sides so you have to believe one of them. You don't. And certainly not without evidence.

I don't have to decide who I trust but I have!!

And no I don't have any hard evidence but there are an alarming amount of coincidences in the last 12 months and unprofessional statements and actions to make me come to MY decision.

I am not forcing anyone to agree with me just having a discussion on what I believe that's all.

  11. I am saying that he was asked a very specific finance question, one that he might not have had the exact numbers to hand for.

He answered that there was over 10m in the bank, and he wasn't certain which money it was as it all went in the same pot.

Then 3 days later, he gives an answer to the question he was asked, and got slaughtered for that too.

None of this equates to lying.

Ok let's just say he wasn't lying then was he being straight with the fans who pay their hard earned cash into the club every week?

  12. He didn't tell the scum anything, they lifted figures from the IPO. (tu)

BACK on the brink and bust by Christmas. (how the scum headlined it)

Rangers finance director Brian Stockbridge has heard all the doom-laden predictions.

And the 39-year-old Ibrox supremo is adamant they are all WRONG.

In an exclusive interview with SunSport, Stockbridge insisted: “We don’t have a penny of debt.

“We have £10million in the bank. We’re not making losses every month.

“Some people are saying that we are going to go bust by Christmas, or even that we are bust now, and we’ve run out of money.

“That is absolutely, categorically, not the case.”

Stockbridge said last Thursday’s fans’ meeting at Ibrox, where more than 100 supporters demanded answers from him and chief executive Craig Mather, was “tough”.

But he admitted: “If anyone’s entitled to an opinion, it’s the fans.

“But when I hear physical threats then that’s not really called for.

“What also hurts, possibly more than that, is that there are unfounded, malicious allegations, that I am either lying or not being straight with people.

“People need to recognise this is my career, this is my life, and is what I’m focused on doing.

“I’m trying to repair the financial damage that’s been done in the past. I know what’s right for the club financially. We are on the right financial course.

“And I won’t let this club be derailed by Paul Murray, Charles Green or anybody else out there.”

Stockbridge backs the idea of Rangers supporters — who own about 12 per cent of shares in total — electing a fans’ director to the board under a membership scheme.

He said: “It would unify the fan base and give them a voice.”

He also vowed to give up his right to an automatic £200,000 bonus for winning the league — in favour of a reward based on financial results.

Stockbridge is confident that turnover from season tickets, sponsorship, corporate hospitality and other revenue — about £20m last season — could be upped to £30m in 2013/14.

A lack of cash from European football and TV means Rangers face an uphill task to return a profit — unless the club makes huge cuts. He said: “If people want, if fans want, we could make a profit. We could make a really big profit.

“But that would entail cutting the infrastructure. And what I don’t want to do now is damage the infrastructure only to have to rebuild it again once we get back to the top of Scottish football.

“At that point, what we will have to be doing is spending money on players, not on rebuilding.

“I won’t let this club go down to the levels of a Second or Third Division club. This is Rangers and we are not a club that belongs at that level.”

Stockbridge told how, after last season’s takeover, the new regime was left with a £28m-a-year wage bill and a mountain of inherited debt.

He said: “When I walked through the doors it took me weeks just to get a bank account because of all the uncertainty.

“We didn’t have a licence to play football until 36 hours before the first match. All this delayed getting in season ticket revenue, which caused all sorts of problems.”

Stockbridge then produced his personal bank statement for our reporter — showing a £50,000 payment to Scottish and Southern Energy in August 2012.

He said: “I even paid £50,000 out of my own bank account towards the electricity bill for the club. That’s how bad things were.”

Last summer, Green, right, and Imran Ahmad raised around £7m from a string of investors including Mather, who ploughed in about £1m.

This cash, and last year’s season-ticket revenue, kept the club going until £22m was raised through the December stock-market flotation.

Money from shareholders has been spent on LED advertising screens and installing Wi-Fi in the stands at Ibrox — which Stockbridge says will bring in extra cash this season.

He said income would also be boosted by the new kit deal with Sports Direct, new Rangers shops in Belfast, at Glasgow Airport, and a possible new store in Glasgow city centre.

Stockbridge pointed out he was providing a breakdown of the £22m as a “snapshot” to reassure people that “every penny” spent by Rangers is properly accounted for.

He stressed that cash from other sources such as ticket sales to non-season-ticket holders, hospitality, sponsorship and retail come into the same bank account.

Other income included £1.5m from Sports Direct.

But the fact that only £10m remains in Gers’ bank account shows how tough it has been for the current regime to balance the books.

Stockbridge claimed he had dramatically cut costs over the last season with the player wage bill down from £28m to £8m. Another £1.5m of cuts have been found across the club, with ideas like bringing security in-house.

He said Green’s criticism of the current regime allowing boss Ally McCoist to sign eight players over the summer was unjustified — as they were free transfers and the overall wage bill had been slashed.

Stockbridge said: “We’ve got a very tight grip on the finances — and that’s down to me.”

On his controversial bonus — payable if Rangers win the league — he said: “I’ve started discussions with Craig to waive that and to have something that may be discretionary based on financial performance.

“It is contractually what I am entitled to — and there are not many people willing to give up £200,000.

“But as finance director I need to be judged on my results.”

    1. He states there is £10 million in the bank but we have been told there is £11 million left from the IPO alone but we are not making losses every month????? Do the maths and try including ST money in that figure also.

    2. He states that he is looking to increase our TURNOVER not profit by selling more ST( of which we already have nearly 40k already in the third tier) next season, hospitality - what's the difference between watching Berwick or Stenhiusemuir when deciding to go corporate ....absolutely nothing so no more TURNOVER there!!!

3.Other revenues...... Go on tell us then what other revenues are you talking about.

    4. Opening a new shop in the airport will increase funds my arse... You trying to tell me that we have a superstore and we are are losing earth shattering amount of money due to the fact we don't have a shop in the airport!!!!

    5. He states there are not many willing to give up £200k in salary as he's contractually entitled to but I'm sure I read somewhere that the football manager has just given up over £300 k on his own salary that he was contractually entitled to ????

    6. He states it hurts by unfounded allegations but all of the above are facts not allegations that's why people accuse him of not being straight with the fans.

    7. He also states the he should be judged by financial results???

Period ending June 2013 - loss of 14.4 million pounds........consider yourself judged Mr Stockbridge!!!

  13. Sorry but how was that a lie?

He might not have had those exact numbers to hand.

To give a correct number, and then be wrong would be a lie.

So you are telling me that a financial director was attending a Q&A with hundreds of Rangers fans who were worried about the finances and never expected to be asked that question so therefore did not have the figure to hand.

But after realising they were looking for an answer then researched his own company and then declared it to a newspaper.

Come on Gogzy think about it???

He must be thick as shit then.
