Sounds more like someone has hacked your hotmail account, rather than your computer. I could be wrong though, I'm not great with technology. If you've changed your password and everything seems fine now I think your laptop will be fine.

Think it's just your hotmail.
Same happened to me a few months ago. Sent out some random email about vibrators (swear it wasn't me!
) and deleted all my contacts. I looked it up and it just said it's someone hacked your hotmail to send their pishy emails and to change your password. -
My ITV4 keeps playing up, the picture goes all blurry whenever anyone moves. It looks like they're all running really fast.
